Sky Arts announced today that Jarvis Cocker is composing the music for the upcoming television adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s Likely Stories. The 4-parter is directed by Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard (Nick Cave’s 20,000 Days on Earth) and stars Tom Hughes, George MacKay, Johnny Vegas, Kenneth Cranham, Rita Tushingham, Monica Dolan, Paul Ritter, Simon Manyonda, Johann Myers and Montserrat Lombard. ‘Saint Amour’ Soundtrack EP Announced

Record Makers has announced a soundtrack release for the French-Belgian comedy Saint Amour. The EP features three tracks from the film’s original music composed by French singer/songwriter and Daft Punk associate Sébastien Tellier. Saint Amour is directed by Benoît Delépine & Gustave de Kervern (Mammuth) and stars Gérard Depardieu and Benoît Poelvoorde as a farmer and his son who bond and find love on an eventful wine tour. Patrick Doyle has signed on to score the upcoming animated feature Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero. The film is directed by Daniel St. Pierre (Everyone’s Hero, Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return) and tells the true story of Stubby, a stray Boston bull terrier, who forged a lasting bond with the men of the 26th “Yankee” Division at the onset of America’s involvement in World War I. Varese Sarabande will release a score album for the sports comedy drama Eddie the Eagle directed by Dexter Fletcher, produced by Matthew Vaughn and starring Taron Egerton & Hugh Jackman. The album features the film’s original music composed by Matthew Margeson (Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kick-Ass 2, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children). The soundtrack will be released physically on March 25, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the film and a cut from the composer’s score will be released by Universal Music. Hybrid’s Charlotte Truman to Score ‘Interlude in Prague’

Charlotte Truman is set to compose the score for the upcoming drama Interlude in Prague. Truman who is known as a member of the Welsh band Hybrid will also serve as the music producer of the film, which will be directed by John Stephenson (Animal Farm) and star James Purefoy, Aneurin Barnard and Samantha Barks. The movie is set in 1787 and follows the story of a few turbulent months in the short life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart that influenced the creation of the opera Don Giovanni. Randy Edelman has been tapped to score the upcoming boxing drama Back in the Day. The film is directed by Paul Borghese and stars William DeMeo, Alec Baldwin, Danny Glover, Mike Tyson, Annabella Sciorra, Shannen Doherty and Michael Madsen. The movie follows a young half-Italian, half-Puerto Rican boxer who lost his parents and is taken under the wing of the mafia in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. DeMeo has written the screenplay and is also producing the project. Edelman’s previous film scoring credits include such titles as Dragonheart, xXx, Gettysburg, Kindergarten Cop, My Cousin Vinny, The Mask, While You Were Sleeping and Ghostbusters 2. Hollywood Bowl 2016 Season Schedule Announced

The Hollywood Bowl has announced this summer’s season schedule, which includes a number of film music concerts. On July 7 & 8, the Bowl will host its premiere performance of the live to projection concert for J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek. The Los Angeles Philharmonic will be performing the entire score from J.J. Abrams’ 2009 film composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Inside Out, Jurassic World) live-to-picture while the movie is shown in HD on the Bowl’s big screen. On September 2-4, John Williams (Jurassic Park, E.T., Raiders of the Lost Ark) will return to the Hollywood Bowl for a concert featuring his music performed by the LA Philharmonic.
