Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original documentary series The Clubhouse: A Year with the Red Sox. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner Zach Robinson (Weird: The Al Yankovic StoryCobra Kai, Matlock, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Twisted Metal, ObliteratedWrestlers, Good Sam). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 8 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Clubhouse: A Year with the Red Sox is directed by Greg Whiteley and gets up close and personal with the 2024 Boston Red Sox during their roller-coaster season. The 8parter follows the team on and off the field for a glimpse into the personal and professional lives of MLB ballplayers as they grapple with the physical demands and mental pressure of a grueling 162-game schedule. The 3-track EP features selections of the movie’s original music composed by the electronic music collective 2manydjs (aka Soulwax). Milan Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Austrian TV series Woman of the Dead (Totenfrau). The album features selections of the original score from the show’s second season composed by Patrick Kirst (The Kissing Booth, Breaking Surface, Inherit the ViperGrace Stirs Up Success). Also included are songs performed by Vera Weber and Hayal Kaya (who also appears in the series). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, April 4 and is now available for preorder on Amazon. A first track (Weber’s Rosebud) is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out after the jump. The label has previously released an album featuring Kirst’s score from Season 1 back in 2022. Playground Music has released a soundtrack album for the Polish drama Wet Monday (Lany poniedzialek). The album features the film’s original score composed by Erki Pärnoja. Also included is the original song Horizon by Pärnoja & Anna Kaneelina. The details of the score album for Ryan Coogler’s supernatural horror movie Sinners have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Ludwig Göransson (Oppenheimer, Black Panther, The Mandalorian, Creed, TenetTurning RedCommunityVenom). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 18 by Sony Classical. A first track (Why You Here / Before the Sun Went Down) is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out below. A separate album featuring the songs from the movie is also expected to come out on the same day. Sinners is written and directed by Coogler and stars Michael B. Jordan, Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell, Omar Benson Miller, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson and Delroy Lindo. The Proximity Media production revolves around two twin brothers who return to their hometown in an attempt to leave their troubled lives behind, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back. Philip Glass will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the film music concert Minimalism in Motion: Glass, Nyman and Beyond, which will close Film Fest Gent’s Film Music Days 2025 and the 25th World Soundtrack Awards. During the concert, a selection of the composer’s work will be performed by the Brussels Philharmonic conducted by Dirk Brossé who personally presented the award to Glass in New York. The composer who was initially renowned for his work for opera and his symphonies has made an equally impressive contribution to film music, with a rich oeuvre of film scores that include The Hours, Koyaanisqatsi, The Truman Show, Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters and Kundun. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the fantasy adventure comedy A Minecraft Movie directed by Jared Hess and starring Jack Black, Jason Momoa, Danielle Brooks, Emma Myers, Sebastian Eugene Hansen and Jennifer Coolidge. The film’s original score is composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, The Royal Tenenbaums, The LEGO Movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, 21/22 Jump Street). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as songs by Black, Bret McKenzie, Dayglow, Dirty Honey, Jamieson Shaw & BENEE last Friday.
