Walter Murphy (Family Guy, Wiseguy, American Dad, The Late Bloomer, Raw Force) is returning to score the new Peacock original comedy event series Ted. The show is created by Seth MacFarlane (The Orville, A Million Ways to Die in the West) and stars MacFarlane himself (as the voice of Ted), Max Burkholder, Scott Grimes, Alanna Ubach and Giorgia Whigham. The prequel to the Murphy-scored 2012 & 2015 Ted features is set in 1993 and depicts of the early life of the titular character who is now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, John Bennett and his family. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural horror thriller Night Swim written and directed by Bryce McGuire and starring Wyatt Russell, Kerry Condon, Amélie Hoeferle and Gavin Warren. The film’s original music is composed by Mark Korven (The Black Phone, The Witch, The Lighthouse, Cube, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, The Peripheral). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. 2024 BAFTA Awards Original Score Longlist Announced

The British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA) today announced the longlists for the EE British Academy Film Awards in 2024. This longlisting round was introduced in 2021, resulting in three rounds of voting. Round One voting produced the longlists in all categories announced today. Round Two voting, to determine the nominations, is opening todayto BAFTA’s voting members and will close on January 12.
