Walter Murphy (Family Guy, Wiseguy, American Dad, The Late BloomerRaw Force) is returning to score the new Peacock original comedy event series Ted. The show is created by Seth MacFarlane (The Orville, A Million Ways to Die in the West) and stars MacFarlane himself (as the voice of Ted), Max Burkholder, Scott Grimes, Alanna Ubach and Giorgia Whigham. The prequel to the Murphy-scored 2012 & 2015 Ted features is set in 1993 and depicts of the early life of the titular character who is now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, John Bennett and his family. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural horror thriller Night Swim written and directed by Bryce McGuire and starring Wyatt Russell, Kerry Condon, Amélie Hoeferle and Gavin Warren. The film’s original music is composed by Mark Korven (The Black Phone, The WitchThe Lighthouse, Cube, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, The Peripheral). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Joy Ngiaw (Glamorous, Rescued by Ruby) has been tapped to score the upcoming Apple TV+ original animated series WondLa. The show, which marks Skydance Animation’s first TV series, is based on the sci-fi fantasy novels by Tony DiTerlizzi (The Spiderwick Chronicles) and tells the coming-of-age story of a 16-year-old girl who goes on an epic journey with her robot caretaker and a cantankerous blue alien and learns that she might have the power to unite the world as she discovers fantastic civilizations. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack EP for Illumination Entertainment’s short Mooned. The 4-track EP features the film’s original score composed by Orlando Pérez Rosso. The sequel to the Academy Award-winning 2000 feature (scored by Hans Zimmer & Lisa Gerrard) is directed by Ridley Scott (Alien, Thelma & Louise) and stars Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington, Derek Jacobi, Connie Nielsen, Fred Hechinger Joseph Quinn and Pedro Pascal. Hollywood Records & Marvel Music have released the first track from the soundtrack for Marvel Studios’ Disney+ original series Echo. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is the title track written by the show’s composer Dave Porter (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Disaster Artist, The Blacklist, Preacher, Hightown, Term Life). 2024 BAFTA Awards Original Score Longlist Announced

bafta1The British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA) today announced the longlists for the EE British Academy Film Awards in 2024. This longlisting round was introduced in 2021, resulting in three rounds of voting. Round One voting produced the longlists in all categories announced today. Round Two voting, to determine the nominations, is opening todayto BAFTA’s voting members and will close on January 12. The full details of the new soundtrack album for Marvel Studios’ Disney+ original animated series What If…? have been revealed. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Laura Karpman (The Marvels, Ms. Marvel, American FictionLovecraft Country, Taken, Underground) &  Nora Kroll-Rosenbaum (Stockholm, Pennsylvania, Prisoner’s DaughterRegarding Susan SontagBird Karma).
