La La-Land Records has released a new soundtrack album for the 2002 thriller The Sum of All Fears directed by Phil Alden Robinson, based on Tom Clancy’s novel and starring Ben Affleck, Morgan Freeman, Liev Schreiber, James Cromwell, Alan Bates and Philip Baker Hall. The 2-CD “expanded edition” features the film’s newly remastered original score composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Alien, Chinatown, Basic Instinct, Poltergeist, The Mummy), the original song If We Could Remember performed by Yolanda Adams, as well a remastered version of the original 2002 soundtrack album (released by Elektra). The soundtrack is limited to 3.000 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can check out audio samples and . La-La Land has previously released a first expanded edition back in 2014.

La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1992 comedic thriller Sneakers directed by Phil Alden Robinson and starring Robert Redford, Dan Aykroyd, Mary McDonnell, Ben Kingsley,River Phoenix, David Strathairn and Sidney Poitier. The album features the film’s expanded and remastered original score composed and conducted by James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind, Braveheart, Legends of the Fall, Field of Dreams), including previously unreleased music. Saxophonist/composer Branford Marsalis is the featured soloist on the score. The 2-CD set, which is limited to 3,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find more about the release. Columbia Records has released the original 1992 soundtrack album.

The 2-CD set features the Academy Award-nominated expanded original score from the Universal Pictures release composed and conducted by James Horner (Titanic, Braveheart, Avatar, Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind, Aliens, Legends of the Fall), including previously unreleased music on the first disc and the remastered 1989 original soundtrack album on the second disc. The soundtrack is limited to 5,000 copies will be available to order on the label’s official website later today.
Mateo Messina to Score ‘The Angriest Man in Brooklyn’
Mateo Messina is currently scoring the upcoming comedy The Angriest Man in Brooklyn. The film is directed by Phil Alden Robinson and stars Robin Williams, Mila Kunis, James Earl Jones, Peter Dinklage and Melissa Leo. The movie follows a stand-in doctor who mistakenly tells an obnoxious patient he has 90 minutes to live and then must locate him as the man goes on a whirlwind tour of the city. Daniel Taplitz (Breakin’ All the Rules) has written the screenplay and Bob Cooper (John Tucker Must Die, Mr. Woodcock), Tyler Mitchell (Lucky Number Slevin, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone) and Daniel J. Walker are producing the project. Messina’s score will feature the hang drum combined with the orchestra.
