Premiering tonight is the new Starz original series Vida created by Tanya Saracho and starring Melissa Barrera, Mishel Prada, Karen Ser Anzoategui, Chelsea Rendon, Carlos Miranda and Maria Elena Laas. The show’s original music is composed by Germaine Franco (Dope, Tag). To learn more about the drama, which follows two Mexican-American sisters from the Eastside of Los Angeles who are forced to return to their old neighborhood, visit the official show website.

Also premiering tonight is the Starz original series Sweetbitter created by Stephanie Danler and starring Ella Purnell, Tom Sturridge, Caitlin FitzGerald, Paul Sparks and Evan Jonigkeit. ‘Always at the Carlyle’ Soundtrack Released

Amadeus Music Company has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Always at the Carlyle. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Earl Rose (Mad Dog Time, Inventing L.A.: The Chandlers and Their Times, Stardust: The Bette Davis Story). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Always at the Carlyle is directed by Matthew Miele and centers on Manhattan’s 87-year-old landmark and a residency for many prominent New Yorkers. The movie features interviews with George Clooney, Anjelica Huston, Jeff Goldblum, Sofia Coppola, Jon Hamm, Alan Cumming, Lenny Kravitz, Tommy Lee Jones, Wes Anderson, Anthony Bourdain, among others. Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the thriller Bad Samaritan directed by Dean Devlin and starring David Tennant, Robert Sheehan, Kerry Condon, Carlito Olivero, Jacqueline Byers, Tracey Heggins and Robert P. Nagle. The film’s original music is composed by Joseph LoDuca (The Evil Dead, Xena: Warrior Princess, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Ash vs Evil Dead). Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Check out our soundtrack announcement for the full album details.

Also opening wide is the romantic comedy Overboard directed by Rob Greenberg & Bob Fisher and starring Eugenio Derbez, Anna Faris, Eva Longoria, John Hannah and Cecilia Suarez. Lyle Workman (The 40-Year Old Virgin, Superbad, Love, Crashing, Forgetting Sarah Marshall) has composed the film’s original score. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music (click here for the full album details). Epic Records has released the first track from the soundtrack for the Superfly remake. The film’s soundtrack producer Future has recorded the song No Shame with PARTYNEXTDOOR. Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for the J.A. Bayona’s action adventure sequel Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Star Trek, Inside Out, The Incredibles, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Ratatouille) who previously scored Colin Trevorrow’s original 2015 Jurassic World movie. Jon Brion has recently composed the music for the upcoming French comedy Sink or Swim (Le grand Bain). The film is directed by actor Gilles Lellouche (The Secret Adventures of Gustave Klopp) and stars Mathieu Amalric, Guillaume Canet, Benoît Poelvoorde and Virginie Efira. The movie follows a group of 40-something guys, all on the verge of a mid-life crisis, who decide to form their local pool’s first ever synchronized swimming team – for men. Pitbull (aka Armando Christian Perez) and Jorge Gomez have composed the original score for the biographical drama Gotti. The film is directed by Kevin Connolly and stars John Travolta in the title role, alongside Kelly Preston, Ella Bleu Travolta, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Stacy Keach, Chris Mulkey, Lydia Hull and Spencer Lofranco. The movie tells the story of John Gotti, the flamboyant head of the Gambino crime family who spent the last decade of his life in prison before dying of throat cancer in 2002 Lem Dobbs (Dark City, The Score, The Company You Keep) and Leo Rossi have written the screenplay.
