La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1986 action classic Top Gun directed by Tony Scott and starring Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis, Val Kilmer, Anthony Edwards, Tom Skerritt. The 2-CD set features the world premiere release of the film’s original score composed by Harold Faltermeyer (Beverly Hills Cop, Fletch, The Running Man, Thief of Hearts, Cop Out, Tango & Cash) on the first disc, and the songs from the movie, including Kenny Loggins’ Danger Zone and Berlin’s Academy Award-winning Take My Breath Away, on the second disc. The soundtrack, which is limited to 5,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples. Hollywood Records has released a digital version of the soundtrack album for the 2010 sci-fi horror movie Predators directed by Nimrod Antal and starring Adrien Brody, Alice Braga, Topher Grace, Walton Goggins and Laurence Fishburne. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, The Jungle Book, Iron Man 2, Elf, Hocus Pocus, Bruce Almighty). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The feature films series based on Bryan Bertino’s 2008 movie of the same title is directed by Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger) and stars Madelaine Petsch, Froy Gutierrez, Rachel Shenton, Gabriel Basso, Richard Brake, Ema Horvath and Ella Bruccoleri. Tenacious D (Jack Black & Kyle Gass) have recorded a new version of the Britney Spears hit song …Baby One More Time for DreamWorks Animation’s sequel Kung Fu Panda 4. The track (originally written by Max Martin) is produced by John Spiker (who co-wrote Black’s original song Peaches from last year’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie) and features an orchestral arrangement by the film’s composers Hans Zimmer & Steve Mazzaro and Òscar Senén. The song is featured during the movie’s end titles sequence and will be included on the movie’s official soundtrack album, which will be released next week by Back Lot Music.
