The full details of the soundtrack album for Yann Demange’s dramatic thriller White Boy Rick have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Max Richter (The Leftovers, Taboo, Waltz with Bashir, Miss Sloane, Hostiles). The soundtrack will be released physically on September 21, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A digital version is expected to come out a week earlier and will be available to download here. White Boy Rick starring Matthew McConaughey, Richie Merritt, Bel Powley, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Brian Tyree Henry, Rory Cochrane, RJ Cyler, Jonathan Majors, Eddie Marsan, Bruce Dern and Piper Laurie is set in 1980s Detroit and tells the true story of a blue-collar father and his teenage son who became an undercover police informant and later a drug dealer, before he was abandoned by his handlers and sentenced to life in prison. The film is directed by Michael Goi (Megan Is Missing) and stars Gary Oldman, Emily Mortimer, Owen Teague, Jennifer Esposito, Stefanie Scott, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo and Chloe Perrin. Intrada Records has announced the world premiere release of the complete soundtrack for the 1984 romantic comedy The Lonely Guy directed Arthur Hiller and starring Steve Martin, Charles Grodin, Judith Ivey, Steve Lawrence and Robyn Douglass. The album features the film’s complete original score composed by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Planet of the Apes, Patton, Poltergeist), as well as alternate cues and revisions. The show’s original music is composed by Bob Thiele Jr. who previously composed FX’s Sons of Anarchy. 20th Century Fox TV Records has released the first track from the soundtrack, Nunca performed by David Hidalgo & Los Refugios Tiernos, earlier this week. Jeff Beal has recently recorded his score for the upcoming documentary The Biggest Little Farm. The film is directed by John Chester (Rock Prophecies, Euphoria) and follows the filmmaker and his wife Molly Chester, a culinary writer, who trade city life to start their own farm on a stretch of depleted soil outside Los Angeles. Chester is also producing the project with Sandra Keats who previously served as a co-producer and associate producer on the Beal-scored documentaries Generation Wealth and Last Call at the Oasis.
