‘The Sandlot’ 25th Anniversary Edition Soundtrack Album Announced

La-La Land Records has announced the details of the new soundtrack release for the 1993 sports comedy The Sandlot directed by David Mickey Evans and starring Tom Guiry, Mike Vitar, Karen Allen, Denis Leary and James Earl Jones. The album features the expanded and remastered original score from the 20th Century Fox production composed by Academy Award nominee David Newman (Anastasia, Ice Age, The Flintstones, War of the Roses, Girls Trip, The Nutty Professor), including over 40 minutes of previously unreleased music. The 25th Anniversary soundtrack edition, which is limited to 1500 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. The movie revolves around a detective who becomes convinced that his wife’s suicide is a murder and finds out that she was the victim of a team of father-and-son serial killers. ‘King Cohen’ Soundtrack to Be Released

La-La Land Entertainment has announced the Blu-ray release of the documentary King Cohen, which includes the soundtrack album featuring the film’s original music composed by Joe Kraemer (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Jack Reacher, The Way of the Gun) as a bonus disc. The Blu-ray, which is limited to 5000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s website, where you can also listen to audio samples from Kraemer’s score. King Cohen is directed by Steve Mitchell and centers writer, producer, director and creator Larry Cohen (Black Caesar, It’s Alive, Q: The Winged Serpent) and features interviews with Martin Scorsese, J.J. CineConcerts has announced today the 25th anniversary celebration of Rudy In Concert event, live at the historic Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on November 10, 2018. Justin Freer will be conducting the 80-piece Hollywood Chamber Orchestra performing Jerry Goldsmith’s complete score live while the entire film is projected on a massive 40-foot HD screen. Premiere (via The Playlist) is reporting that Mark Mothersbaugh is composing original songs for Wes Anderson’s, currently untitled, next movie. The film is being described as a French musical set in a fictional city in the 1950s. No specific plot details have been revealed for the project and no casting announcements have been made yet. No word yet on whether Mothersbaugh will also be providing the original score. The composer scored Anderson’s first four movies (including Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums), while Alexandre Desplat composed the music for the director’s last several features (including The Grand Budapest Hotel and this year’s Isle of Dogs).
