Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the fantasy adventure Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald directed by David Yates and starring Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Jude Law, Johnny Depp, Zoë Kravitz and Callum Turner. The film’s original music is composed by James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, King Kong, Maleficent, The Sixth Sense). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Check out our previous article for the full album details.

Also opening wide is the crime thriller Widows directed by Steve McQueen and starring Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Elizabeth Debicki, Cynthia Erivo, Colin Farrell, Brian Tyree Henry, Daniel Kaluuya, Garret Dillahunt, Carrie Coon, Jacki Weaver, Robert Duvall and Liam Neeson. Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, Inception, The Dark Knight, The Lion King, Dunkirk) has composed the film’s original score. Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘Motown Magic’ Released

Motown Records has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix animated series Motown Magic. The album features the Motown hits from the show covered by artists including Ne-Yo, Becky G, BJ the Chicago Kid, Calum Scott, Skylar Grey, Trombone Shorty, as well as Smokey Robinson who serves as the project’s executive music producer. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. A CD version is available to order here. Motown Magic created by Joshua Wakely & Smokey Robinson is inspired by the music of Motown and follows a wide-eyed eight-year-old who uses his magic paintbrush to bring the street-art decorating his city, Motown, to life. Daniel Pemberton (Steve Jobs, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Ocean’s 8, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) and Samuel Sim (Awake, The Halcyon, Home Fires) have been tapped to score the upcoming Netflix fantasy adventure series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. The show directed by Louis Leterrier (Now You See Me, The Incredible Hulk) is a prequel to the classic 1982 feature (scored by Trevor Jones), and follows three young Gelflings as they inspire a rebellion against the cruel emperor when they discover a horrifying secret. Jennifer Lopez’s ‘Limitless’ from ‘Second Act’ Released

Sony Masterworks and STX Recordings have released the original song Limitless from the upcoming comedy Second Act. The track is written by Sia Furler & Jesse Shatkin and performed by the movie’s star Jennifer Lopez. The song is now available as a digital single on Amazon. Second Act is directed by Peter Segal and stars Jennifer Lopez, Leah Remini, Vanessa Hudgens, Treat Williams and Milo Ventimiglia. The movie revolves around a 40-year-old woman struggling with frustrations from unfulfilled dreams, when she gets the chance to prove to Madison Avenue that street smarts are as valuable as book smarts. ‘Green Book’ Soundtrack Released

Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the comedy drama Green Book. The album features the film’s original music composed by Kris Bowers (Dear White People, For the People, Of Monsters and Men). Also included are the songs from the movie by The Blue Jays, Timmy Shaw, The Blackwells, Jack’s Four, Bob Kelly & others, as well as the performances of The Don Shirley Trio as featured in the film. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. A CD version is set to come out on December 7 and is available to order here and a vinyl version is also in the works. Green Book is co-written and directed by Peter Farrelly and stars Viggo Mortensen, Mahershala Ali, Linda Cardellini, Sebastian Maniscalco, Dimiter D. Marinov and P.J. Byrne. Extended Theme from Netflix ‘Narcos: Mexico’ Released

Gaumont Television has released a new extended version of Tuyo, the theme from the Netflix original series Narcos written and performed by Rodrigo Amarante as featured in the show’s new season Narcos: Mexico. The track is now available as a digital single on Amazon. Narcos: Mexico is created by Carlo Bernard & Doug Miro and stars Michael Peña, Diego Luna, Tenoch Huerta, Joaquin Cosio, Jose Maria Yazpik, Teresa Ruiz and Alyssa Diaz. The album features the film’s original music composed by Bear McCreary (10 Cloverfield Lane, Outlander, The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Happy Death Day, Colossal). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 16 and will be available to download on Amazon. Welcome Home is directed by George Ratliff and stars Aaron Paul, Emily Ratajkowski and Riccardo Scamarcio. The movie revolves around a couple who spend a weekend at a vacation rental home in the Italian countryside in an attempt to repair their relationship, but soon become victims of the homeowner’s sinister plans. The album features the film’s original score composed by Michael Andrews (Donnie Darko, Bridesmaids, Neighbors, The Big Sick, Bad Teacher). Marco Beltrami is composing the original score for the upcoming horror thriller Velvet Buzzsaw. The film is written and directed by Dan Gilroy and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Rene Russo, Zawe Ashton, Natalia Dyer, Tom Sturridge, Daveed Diggs, Toni Collette, John Malkovich and Billy Magnussen. The movie follows a group of big-money artists and mega-collectors who pay a high price when art collides with commerce.
