frank-ilfmanFrank Ilfman has signed on to score the upcoming supernatural thriller Ghost Stories. The film is written and directed by Jeremy Dyson (The League of Gentlemen) & actor Andy Nyman and stars Martin Freeman, Paul Whitehouse, Alex Lawther and Amy Doyle. The movie follows an arch sceptic professor who embarks upon a terror filled quest, when he stumbles across a long lost file containing details of  three cases of inexplicable ‘hauntings’. Claire Jones (Kill ListSightseers) and Robin Gutch (Hunger’71) are producing the project. eavesdropperL’R du Trésor will release a soundtrack album for the French spy thriller The Eavesdropper (La mécanique de l’ombre). The album features the film’s original music composed by Grégoire Auger. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 6 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples and check out the track list. The Eavesdropper marks the feature directorial debut of Thomas Kruithof and stars Francois Cluzet, Denis Podalydes, Alba Rohrwacher, Sami Bouajila and Simon Abkarian. The movie revolves around a middle-aged, financially struggling man who gets hired by a mysterious employer to transcribe phone tapped conversations, which gets him trapped in the French secret services underworld. philRolfe Kent has composed the music for the upcoming comedy The Philosophy of Phil. The film marks the directorial debut of actor Greg Kinnear who also stars in the movie alongside Emily Mortimer, Jay Duplass, Robert Forster, Taylor Schilling, Bradley Whitford and Luke Wilson. The movie follows a dentist who tries to take control of his life after a patient commits suicide. The album features the film’s original music composed by Armand Amar (The Concert, The Source, Capital, The History of Love). The soundtrack will be released overseas on January 13, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Listen to four tracks from the score after the jump. A Bag of Marbles is directed by Christian Duguay (The Art of War, Screamers) and stars Dorian Le Clech, Batyste Fleurial, Christian Clavier, Elsa Zylberstein and Patrick Bruel. The show’s original music is composed by Jonathan Sadoff (The MeddlerSeeking a Friend for the End of the WorldBeautiful Creatures). The series revolves around a rash, two-bit hustler from Rhode Island who must assume guardianship of her sister’s three high-maintenance children. loganDirector James Mangold confirmed on Twitter that Marco Beltrami is currently scoring the upcoming Wolverine sequel Logan. The film starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant and Dafne Keen follows an an aging Wolverine and Professor X must protect a young female clone of Wolverine from an evil organization led by Nathanial Essex. Simon Kinberg (X-Men:Days of Future Past & Apocalypse, The Martian, Cinderella) and Lauren Shuler Donner (X-Men series, Deadpool, Constantine) are producing the project. hidden-figuresPlaying in limited release since this past Sunday before expanding nationwide on January 6 is the drama Hidden Figures directed by Theodore Melfi and starring Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monáe, Kirsten Dunst, Jim Parsons, Mahershala Ali, Aldis Hodge, Glen Powell and Kevin Costner. The film’s original music is composed by Hans Zimmer (The Dark KnightGladiator), Pharrell Williams and Benjamin Wallfisch (Lights Out). The drama based on the book written by Floyd Mutrux & Colin Escott is set in Memphis and depicts the rise of musicians including Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash as the burgeoning civil-rights movement grips the nation.
