Paramount Music will release a score album for the Transformers spin-off Bumblebee. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Dario Marianelli (Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, Darkest Hour, Anna Karenina, Kubo and the Two Strings). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 21 and will be available to download here. A CD version is expected to be announced from La-La Land Records soon. Island Records will release a soundtrack album for the British comedy Fisherman’s Friends. The album, entitled Keep Hauling, features the songs from the film performed by the titular band. The soundtrack is set to be released on March 15, 2019 and will be available for pre-order on Amazon within the next few days. Fisherman’s Friends is directed by Chris Foggin (Kids in Love) and stars Daniel Mays, Tuppence Middleton, James Purefoy, David Hayman, Dave Johns, Sam Swainsbury, Maggie Steed, Christian Brassington and Noel Clarke. The movie is inspired by the true story of a group of shanty singing fishermen who went from performing in the village harbour to securing a deal with Island Records, a top-ten album and performing on the pyramid stage at Glastonbury. StarWars.Com has announced that Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther, Creed, Venom, Community) will compose the score for The Mandalorian, the first ever live-action Star Wars series. The show is written and executive produced by Jon Favreau (The Jungle Book, Elf, Iron Man 2) and stars Pedro Pascal in the title role as a lone Mandalorian gunfighter, alongside Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog and Nick Nolte.  Read the rest of this entry »

Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the psychological thriller Escape Room. The album features the film’s original music composed by Brian Tyler (Furious 7, Crazy Rich Asians, Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Now You See Me) and John Carey, as well as a remix of the composers’ Escape Room theme by Madsonik & Kill The Noise. Screenwriter Zack Stentz has announced that Bear McCreary is the composer of the upcoming sci-fi adventure Rim of the World. The film is directed by McG (Charlie’s Angels, Terminator Salvation) and stars Jack Gore, Miya Cech, Benjamin Flores Jr., Alessio Scalzotto, King Bach (aka Andrew Bachelor), Tony Cavalero, Rudy Mancuso, Carl McDowell, Chris Wylde, David Theune, Punam Patel, Michael Beach, Jason Rogel, Lynn Collins and Annabeth Gish. MacGillivray Freeman Films has announced that Hans Zimmer has composed the main title theme for the upcoming IMAX documentary Great Bear Rainforest. The film’s score is composed by Anže Rozman for Bleeding Fingers Music and produced by Russell Emanuel. The movie is directed by Ian McAllister, narrated by Ryan Reynolds and will feature unprecedented close-up footage of Canada’s Great Bear Rainforest, which is home to an immense array of wildlife, including the fabled all-white spirit bear and the indigenous First Nations.  Read the rest of this entry »

The film is directed by Bentley Weiner and centers on the 77-year old NFL Hall of Famer, whose story encompasses turns as a linebacker, lawyer, sports agent, broadcaster, executive and philanthropist. Composer Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, Pacific Rim Uprising, Genius) is reteaming with director Matt Tyrnauer on the upcoming documentary Where’s My Roy Cohn?. The movie focuses on Rob Cohn, the American lawyer best known for being Senator Joseph McCarthy’s chief counsel during the Army–McCarthy hearings in 1954 and whose polarizing, brass-knuckle strategies set the stage for the rise of Donald Trump.
