The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Non-Stop, Unknown, Orphan, The Shallows) and stars Liam Neeson, Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Sam Neill, Elizabeth McGovern and Jonathan Banks. The movie centers on a businessman in his daily commute home who is forced by a mysterious stranger to uncover the identity of a passenger before the train’s last stop. Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the Hulu original series Harlots. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Rael Jones (Suite Francaise, My Cousin Rachel, Kids in Love). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 19 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Harlots is created by Moira Buffini & Alison Newman and stars Samantha Morton, Jessica Brown Findlay, Eloise Smyth and Lesley Manville. Gary Yershon will be reteaming with Mike Leigh on the director’s upcoming drama Peterloo. The film is written and directed by Leigh (Secret & Lies, Vera Drake, Topsy-Turvy) and tells the story of the infamous 1819 massacre at a peaceful pro-democracy rally at St. Peter’s Field in Manchester, England, when many working people were injured and killed. Georgina Lowe is producing the Amazon Studios, Film4, the BFI and Lipsync production. Yershon has previously collaborated with Leigh on the director’s previous three features, Happy-Go-Lucky, Another Year and Mr. Turner, for which he received his first Academy Award nomination. Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album for the romantic comedy drama Paris Can Wait. The album features the film’s original music composed by Laura Karpman (Underground, Black Nativity, Taken mini-series). Also included are two re-imaginings of classic French songs – Je te veux and Que reste-t-il de nos amours – sung by international star vocalist Ute Lemper. The soundtrack is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio samples. Paris Can Wait is written and directed by Eleanor Coppola and stars Diane Lane, Arnaud Viard and Alec Baldwin. The full details of the soundtrack album for Disney’s fantasy adventure Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Geoff Zanelli (Disturbia, Into the West, The Pacific, Hitman, The Odd Life of Timothy Green) who previously contributed additional music to the previous four movies in the series. A.R. Rahman to Score ‘Sangamithra’

According to The Hollywood Reporter, A.R. Rahman is set to compose the music for the upcoming Indian epic drama Sangamithra. The film will be directed by Sundar C. (Aranmanai, Anbe Sivam) and is set to star Jayam Ravi, Arya and Shruti Haasan. The movie is set in the 8th century AD and tells the story of the trials and tribulations of Sangamithra and her journey to save her kingdom. The drama produced by Thenandal Studios Limited will be split and released in two parts. Sangamithra is currently in pre-production and will begin principal photography this summer.

Last night, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) held its annual Screen Music Awards at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Stephen Schwartz was honored with the ASCAP Founders Award, which is given to pioneering ASCAP songwriters who have made exceptional contributions to music by inspiring and influencing their fellow music creators. The Academy Award-, Grammy Award- and Golden Globe-winning composer was presented the award by ASCAP president Paul Williams. Several of Schwartz’s collaborators congratulated the songwriter via a video message, including former DreamWorks Animation head Jeffrey Katzenberg, actor Victor Garber, producer Marc Platt and composers/lyricists Benj Pasek & Justin Paul.
