Bear McCreary is currently scoring the upcoming supernatural romantic thriller Break My Heart 1000 Times. The film is directed by Scott Speer (Step Up Revolution, Midnight Sun) and stars Bella Thorne, Dermot Mulroney and Richard Harmon. The movie based on the novel by Daniel Waters is set after a cataclysmic event that has allowed ghost-like beings named Remnants to co-exist with the living and revolves around a Remnant who threatens the life of a young woman, propelling her on an adventure. ‘Inconceivable’ Soundtrack Relased

Filmtrax has released a soundtrack album for the psychological thriller Inconceivable. The album features the film’s original music composed by Kevin Kiner (CSI: Miami, Star Wars: Rebels, Hell on Wheels, Jane the Virgin, Star Wars: The Clone Wars). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Inconceivable is directed by Jonathan Baker and stars Nicolas Cage, Gina Gershon, Faye Dunaway, Nicky Whelan and Natalie Eva Marie. The movie centers on a mother who looks to escape her abusive past by moving to a new town where she befriends another mother, who grows suspicious of her. Premiering tonight is the Epix original series Get Shorty created by Davey Holmes and starring Chris O’Dowd, Ray Romano, Sean Bridgers, Megan Stevenson, Goya Robles, Lucy Walters, Sarah Stiles, Antwone Tanner and Carolyn Dodd. The show’s original music composed by Golden Globe and Grammy Award winner Antonio Sanchez (Birdman) who makes his television scoring debut on the project. Premiering on Wednesday, August 16, is the new NBC comedy Marlon created by Christopher Moynihan & Marlon Wayans and starring Wayans, Essence Atkins, Notlim Taylor, Amir O’Neil, Bresha Webb and Diallo Riddle. Dwayne Wayans (Dance FlickMy Wife and Kids) is composing the show’s original music. Ceiri Torjussen is scoring the upcoming documentary Pistorius. The film is directed by Vaughan Sivell (Prevenge, Third Star) and follows the rise and fall of Oscar Pistorius, the inspiring, Olympic hero turned convicted murderer who made history by becoming the first double-amputee sprinter to compete in the Olympics. Sivell is also producing the project with Sean Richard for Western Edge Pictures, and the Gennaker Group. Dwayne Wayans is the composer of the new NBC comedy Marlon. The show is created by Christopher Moynihan & Marlon Wayans who also stars in the series with Essence Atkins, Notlim Taylor, Amir O’Neil, Bresha Webb and Diallo Riddle. The comedy is inspired by the real life of Marlon Wayans and centers on a loving (but immature) father committed to co-parenting his two kids with his very-together ex-wife. Moynihan and Wayans are also executive producing the Universal Television production with Rick Alvarez (Fifty Shades of Black, White Chicks), Michael Rotenberg (Silicon Valley, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), as well as Andy Ackerman (The New Adventures of Old Christine) who also directed the pilot episode. The film is directed by John Maggio and centers on the legendary Washington Post executive editor who became a national figure during the presidency of Richard Nixon, when he challenged the federal government over the right to publish the Pentagon Papers. The album features the film’s original music composed by Federico Jusid (The Secret in Their EyesMisconduct, Black ButterflyThe Hunter’s Prayer). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Kidnap is directed by Luis Prieto, produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura & Erik Howsam and stars Halle Berry as a mother who will stop at nothing to rescue her kidnapped son. Expected to top the weekend box office is the horror movie Annabelle: Creation directed by David Sandberg and starring Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Lulu Wilson, Philippa Anne Coulthard, Grace Fulton, Lou Lou Safran, Samara Lee, Tayler Buck, Anthony LaPaglia and Miranda Otto. The film’s original music is composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (Hidden FiguresLights OutItA Cure for WellnessBitter Harvest). Also opening wide is the animated feature The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature directed by Cal Brunker and featuring the voices of Will Arnett, Katherine Heigl, Maya Rudolph, Bobby Moynihan, Gabriel Iglesias, Jeff Dunham, Bobby Cannavale, Isabel Moner, Sebastian Maniscalo and Jackie Chan. Heitor Pereira (Despicable MeMinionshe Angry Bird Moviehe Smurfs) has composed the film’s original music. The film is directed by Nash Edgerton (The Square) and stars David Oyelowo, Joel Edgerton, Charlize Theron, Paris Jackson, Amanda Seyfried, Yul Vazquez, Thandie Newton and Sharlto Copley. The movie follows an American businessman with a stake in a pharmaceutical company that’s about to go public who finds his life is thrown into turmoil by an incident in Mexico.
