Adrian Johnston (The Strangers: Prey at Night, Lassie, The Child in Time, Dancing on the Edge, The Tunnel) is the composer of the new British Prime Video limited series A Very Royal Scandal. The show is directed by Julian Jarrold (Sulphur and White, A Royal Night Out), written by Jeremy Brock (The Last King of Scotland, Mrs. Brown) and stars Michael Sheen as Prince Andrew and Ruth Wilson as Emily Maitlis, as well as Joanna Scanlan, Alex Jennings, Éanna Hardwicke and Claire Rushbrook. The 3-part drama is based on the real-life 2019 interview between Emily Maitlis and Prince Andrew over the accusations the Prince faced regarding his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein and Virginia Giuffre and follows the action of Maitlis and Prince Andrew in the lead-up to the interview. Opening in theaters nationwide is the psychological thriller Speak No Evil directed by James Watkins and starring James McAvoy, Mackenzie Davis, Scoot McNairy, Alix West Lefler, Aisling Franciosi and Daniel Hough. The film’s original music is composed by Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, Enemy, The Outsider, Fear the Walking Dead, The Devil All the TimeThe Staircase, The White TigerBoy ErasedTokyo Vice). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score today. Also opening wide today is the action comedy The Killer’s Game  directed by JJ Perry and starring Dave Bautista, Sofia Boutella, Scott Adkins, Pom Klementieff, Terry Crews and Ben Kingsley. Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the Canadian 1981 drama Silence of the North directed by Allan King and starring Ellen Burstyn of author Olive Frederickson, Tom Skerritt and Gordon Pinsent. The album features the film’s original music composed by Allan Macmillan, as well as additional music by Jerrold Immel (credited as “music adapted and scored by”) (How the West Was WonMegaforce, Matilda, DallasProgrammed to Kill). The soundtrack is now available to order as a limited edition CD on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list, listen to audio samples and find out more about the release. Kerry Muzzey (Look & See: A Portrait of Wendell Berry, What Happens Next, BearCity) will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Studio One Forever. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and will be released digitally on October 4. Check back on this page for the streaming/download link. A first track (The Memory Theme) is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out after the jump. Studio One Forever is directed by Marc Saltarelli and centers on the LGBT nightclub in West Hollywood that was founded in the 1970. The show is developed by Lauren LeFranc and stars Colin Farrell who reprises his role of the title character (aka Oz Cobb) from Matt Reeves’ 2022 feature The Batman. Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Michael Kelly, Deirdre O’Connell, James Madio, Clancy Brown, Scott Cohen, Michael Zegen, Carmen Ejogo and Theo Rossi are also starring in the 8-parter.
