Gabriel Mann is composing the original score for the new NBC drama Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. Mateo Messina (Juno, Superstore, Women Who Kill) has provided the themes for the show created by Austin Winsberg and starring Jane Levy, Skylar Astin, Alex Newell, John Clarence Stewart, Peter Gallagher and Mary Steenburgen. The series revolves around a whip-smart computer coder in San Francisco who suddenly starts to hear the innermost wants, thoughts and desires of the people around her – her family, co-workers and complete strangers – through popular songs. Jazz pianist/record producer and composer Robert Glasper has recently scored the upcoming romantic drama The Photograph. The film is written and directed by Stella Meghie (Everything, Everything, Jean of the Joneses) and stars Issa Rae, LaKeith Stanfield, Chanté Adams, Y’lan Noel, Rob Morgan, Lil Rel Howery and Courtney B. Vance. The movie follow the estranged daughter of a famed photographer who finds a photograph tucked away in a safe-deposit box that is found after her mother’s death and finds herself on a journey delving into her mother’s early life. Jeff Cardoni (Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Silicon Valley, The Kominsky Method) is the new composer of the Spectrum Originals series L.A.’s Finest. He is scoring the second season of the drama created by Brandon Margolis & Brandon Sonnier (The Blacklist) based on Michael Bay’s Bad Boys franchise and starring Gabrielle Union, Jessica Alba, Zach Gilford, Duane Martin, Ryan McPartlin, Sophie Reynolds and Ernie Hudson. John Paesano (Daredevil, The Maze Runner, When the Game Stands Tall, Truth Be Told) has signed on to score the upcoming thriller The Secrets We Keep. The film is directed by Yuval Adler (The Operative, Bethlehem) and stars Noomi Rapace, Joel Kinnaman, Chris Messina and Amy Seimetz. The movie follows a woman who is rebuilding her life in New York after World War II, when she and her husband encounter a man they think could be one of her chief tormentors as she fled from the Nazi occupation in World War II. Hans Zimmer has been brought in to score the 25th James Bond film, No Time to Die. It has not been confirmed yet whether he will be taking sole composer credit or if he will be sharing scoring credit with one of his regular collaborators. Dan Romer was originally announced as the movie’s composer. No Time to Die is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and stars Daniel Craig, Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz, Billy Magnussen, Ana de Armas and Ralph Fiennes. 22D Music will release a new soundtrack album for the Hulu original series Find Me in Paris. The album features selection so fthe original score from the show’s second season composed by Norbert Gilbert. Also included are songs by Christy O’Donnell, Giacomo Lecchi D’Alessandro, Lucie Guillem and Charlotte Barban-Dangerfield. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 24, 2020 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released an album featuring music from the show’s first season. Blake Neely is composing the original music for the upcoming Apple TV+ docu-series Visible: Out on Television. The show directed by Ryan White investigates the importance of TV as an intimate medium that has shaped the American conscience, and how the LGBTQ movement has shaped television. The 5-parter is narrated by Janet Mock, Margaret Cho, Asia Kate Dillon, Neil Patrick Harris & Lena Waithe and features interviews with Ellen DeGeneres, Oprah Winfrey, Anderson Cooper, Billy Porter, among others. The film is written and directed by John Krasinski and stars Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe and Djimon Hounsou. The movie follows the Abbott family as they must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Composer Edward Shearmur (Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Charlie’s Angels, Escape at Dannemora, Cruel Intentions, Johnny English) is reuniting with director Rodrigo Garcia on the upcoming drama Four Good Days. The film starring Glenn Close, Mila Kunis, Stephen Root and Joshua Leonard follows a mother who helps her daughter work through four crucial days of recovery from substance abuse. Garcia (Albert Nobbs) also co-wrote the screenplay with Eli Saslow and is producing the project with Jon Avnet (Fried Green Tomatoes, Up, Close and Personal), Marina Grasic (Welcome to Me), Jake Avnet and Jai Khann (The Black Prince).
