We The Best Music Group and Epic Records have announced the details of the soundtrack album for the action comedy Bad Boys for Life. The album features a selection of songs from the movie by artists including Meek Mill, Jaden, The Black Eyed Peas & J Balvin, Pitbull & Lil Jon, City Girls, Rick Ross, DJ Durel & others. DJ Khaled serves as the executive producer of the soundtrack, which will be released on January 17 and is now available for pre-order here. A separate soundtrack featuring Lorne Balfe’s original score is also in the works. Hollywood Records/Fox Music will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi horror movie Underwater. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marco Beltrami (Logan, 3:10 to Yuma, A Quiet Place, Ford v Ferrari, Scream) and Brandon Roberts (Free Solo, The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death, TURN: Washington’s Spies, The Twilight Zone). Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) has announced the line-up for the 22nd annual Composer/Director Roundtable and 18th annual Snowball Showcase during the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. BMI’s roundtable entitled Music & Film: The Creative Process will take place on Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Kimball Arts Center (1401 Kearns Blvd, Park City). The conversation will be moderated by Doreen Ringer-Ross, BMI’s Vice President of Creative Relations and focuses on the relationship between composer and director. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi horror movie Color Out of Space. The album features the film’s original music composed by Colin Stetson (Hereditary, The First, Outlaws and Angels). The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 24 and physically on February 7. The CD version will be available for pre-order on Amazon within the next couple of days. Color Out of Space is co-written and directed by Richard Stanley and stars Nicolas Cage, Joely Richardson, Madeleine Arthur, Brendan Meyer, Q’orianka Kilcher, Elliot Knight, Julian Hilliard and Tommy Chong. The movie is based on H.P. Lovecraft’s classic horror short story and follows a man and his family who find themselves battling a mutant extraterrestrial organism as it infects their minds and bodies after a meteorite lands in the front yard of their farm. The show is created by Lee Eisenberg (The Office, Good Boys) inspired by the true stories featured in Epic Magazin of immigrants in America. The first season features eight stories from different parts of the world. Eisenberg is also executive producing the project with Kumail Nanjiani & Emily V. Alexandre Desplat is reteaming with director Guillermo del Toro on the upcoming Netflix animated film Pinocchio. The composer is set to score and is also composing original songs for the stop motion musical, which marks the del Toro’s animated feature film directorial debut. Patrick McHale (Over the Garden WallAdventure Time) co-wrote the script with the director and Mark Gustafson is co-directing the movie, which is set in Italy during the 1930s and tells the classic tale of the wooden puppet who dreams of becoming a real boy. The film is directed by Paul Verhoeven (Basic Instinct, Total Recall, Starship Troopers) and stars Virginie Efira, Charlotte Rampling, Daphné Patakia, Lambert Wilson, Olivier Rabourdin and Louise Chevillotte.
