Varese Sarabande has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1978 comedy thriller The Big Fix directed by Jeremy Kagan and starring Richard Dreyfuss, Susan Anspach, Bonnie Bedelia, John Lithgow and F. Murray Abraham. The album features the original music from the Universal Pictures release composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Bill Conti (Rocky, The Right Stuff, The Karate Kid, For Your Eyes Only, The Thomas Crown Affair, Masters of the Universe), including unused and alternate cues. The CD, which is limited to 1,500 copies, is now available to order in the label’s online store, where you can also check out audio clips and learn more about the release. Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD club series, including a deluxe edition soundtrack for the 1998 action thriller U.S. Marshals directed by Stuart Baird and starring Tommy Lee Jones, Robert Downey Jr., Joe Pantoliano, Daniel Roebuck, Tom Wood, and LaTanya Richardson. The album features the expanded original score from the Warner Bros. Pictures production composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Chinatown, Planet of the Apes, The Mummy, Basic Instinct), including over 45 minutes of previously unreleased music. The movie revolves around a professional assassin who must track down and kill his latest target to satisfy an outstanding debt to his mentor. James C. Wolf (Good Day for It) wrote the screenplay.
