Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the drama Shirley directed by Josephine Decker and starring Elisabeth Moss, Michael Stuhlbarg, Odessa Young and Logan Lerman. The film’s original music is composed by Tamar-kali (Mudbound, The Assistant, Come Sunday, The Last Thing He Wanted, John Lewis: Good Trouble). Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Check out our previous news article for the full album details and to learn more about the Neon release.

Also opening in select theaters and on VOD is the action thriller Becky directed by Jonathan Milott and starring Lulu Wilson, Kevin James, Joel McHale, Amanda Brugel and Robert Maillet. Nima Fakhrara (The Signal, The Pyramid, Detroit: Become Human, The Girl in the Photographs) has composed the film’s original music. Varese Sarabande and Music.Film Recordings will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score next Friday, June 12 (pushed back from its original June 5 release date). Tom Howe (A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, Early Man, Professor Marston & the Wonder Women, Whiskey Cavalier) has composed the original score for the upcoming Disney Channel original movie Upside-Down Magic. The film is based on the Scholastic book series by Sarah Mlynowski, Lauren Myracle & Emily Jenkins and stars Izabela Rose, Siena Agudong, Vicki Lewis, Kyle Howard, Elie Samouhi, Alison Fernandez and Max Torina. The movie directed by Joe Nussbaum (Sydney White, Sleepover) centers around a 13-year-old girl who discovers that she can flux into animals, and her best friend, and who can manipulate flames, as they enter Sage Academy for magical studies. ‘Gangs of London’ Soundtrack Album Released

SATV has released a soundtrack album for the Sky original series Gangs of London. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Aria Prayogi & Fajar Yuskemal (The Raid: Redemption, The Ride, Apostle, The Night Comes for Us, Headshot). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. No word yet on a domestic release. Gangs of London is created by Gareth Evans & Matt Flannery and stars Sope Dirisu, Joe Cole,Lucian Msamati, Michelle Fairley, Mark Lewis Jones, Narges Rashidi, Jing Lusi, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Brian Vernal, Orli Shuka, Richard Harrington, Jude Akuwidike and Emmett J Scanlan. The crime drama revolves around the assassination of the head of a criminal organization that leads to a struggle threatening the fragile peace among the intricate web of international gangs operating on the streets of modern-day London. Lakeshore Records will release the official soundtrack album for the sci-fi thriller Volition. The album features the film’s original music composed by Matthew Rogers (Adventures in Public School, Darc, The Unspoken). The soundtrack will be released digitally on July 10, 2020 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Volition is co-written and directed by Tony Dean Smith and stars Adrian Glynn McMorran, Magda Apanowicz, John Cassini, Frank Cassini, Aleks Paunovic and Bill Marchant. The album features the film’s original music composed by Christophe Héral (Rayman Legends, Rayman Origins, Beyond Good & Evil). The Prince’s Voyage is co-written and directed by Jean-François Laguionie and follows an old monkey prince who finds himself lost and injured on an unknown shore, where he gets rescued by a young boy and sheltered by his parents, two scientists who have been exiled from their community for believing in the existence of other monkey civilizations. The album features the film’s original music composed by Matija Strniša (Paths, Meteor Street). The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 26, 2020 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. House of Hummingbird is written and directed by Bora Kim and stars Ji-hu Park, Sae-byuk Kim, Seung-yeon Lee and In-gi Jeong. The movie is set in South Korea against the backdrop of a rapidly expanding Seoul in 1994, and centers on a lonely 14-year-old girls as she moves through life like a hummingbird searching for a taste of sweetness wherever she may find it. Gabriel Yared (The English Patient, The Talented Mr. Ripley, 1408, Cold Mountain) has been hired to score the upcoming Italian drama The Life Ahead. The film is directed by Edoardo Ponti and stars Sophia Loren, Ibrahima Gueye, Renato Carpentieri and Massimiliano Rossi. The movie is set in seaside Italy and follows a Holocaust survivor with a daycare business who takes in 12-year-old Momo, a Senegalese Muslim street kid who robbed her. Ponti also co-wrote the screenplay with Ugo Chiti (Dogman) based on Romain Gary’s novel La vie devant soi. Nicola Serra & Carlo Degli Esposti (Piranhas, Leopardi) are producing the project. Ryan Shore (Prime, The Shrine, Star Wars: Forces of Destiny, Harvard Man, Spy Hunter, Julie’s Greenroom) has been tapped to score the upcoming Netflix original film Love, Guaranteed. The film is directed by Mark Steven Johnson (Ghost Rider, Daredevil, When in Rome) and stars Rachael Leigh Cook, Heather Graham and Damon Wayans Jr. The romantic comedy revolves around an earnest lawyer who – in order to save her small law firm – takes a high-paying case from a charming new client who wants to sue a dating website that guarantees love. Elizabeth Hackett & Hilary Galanoy (Falling Inn Love) wrote the screenplay based on the source material by Cook who is also producing the project with Dan Spilo (Back Roads) and Margret Huddleston & Stephanie Slack (Dangerous Lies).
