Premiering tonight is the HBO docu-series I’ll Be Gone in the Dark directed and executive produced by Liz Garbus about writer Michelle McNamara’s investigation into the dark world of a violent predator she dubbed the Golden State Killer. The show’s original music is composed by Philip Sheppard (Love, Marilyn, Bobby Fischer Against the World, In the Shadow of the Moon, Detroit: Become Human). Check out our previous news article to learn more about the 6-parter, which will air every Sunday night on HBO.

Premiering on Tuesday, June 30, is the Spanish drama Adú directed by Salvador Calvo and starring Luis Tosar, Anna Castillo, Álvaro Cervantes, Jesús Carroza and Miquel Fernández. Roque Banos (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead, The Machinist, In the Heart of the Sea, The Girl in the Spider’s Web) has composed the film’s original music. Mira Mi Música has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this week when the film was first set to be released in Spanish theaters. ‘Rebecka Martinsson’ Soundtrack Album Released

ODS Recordings has released the first soundtrack album for the Swedish crime drama Rebecka Martinsson. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first two seasons composed by Dan Berridge (The Girl, Penguins: Life on the Edge, Great Bear Stakeout). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio clips. Rebecka Martinsson is based on the novels by Åsa Larsson and stars Ida Engvoll,  Sascha Zacharias, Eva Melander and Jakob Öhrman. Laurent Eyquem Scoring Davide Ferrario’s ‘Just Noise’

Laurent Eyquem (Copperhead, Nostalgia, Winnie Mandela, Rage, Momentum)  is composing the original music for the upcoming historical drama Just Noise. The film is directed by Davide Ferrario (After Midnight, We All Fall Down) and stars Harvey Keitel and Malcolm McDowell. The movie depicts the bloody fight by Maltese citizens for their independence against Britain in 1919, just after World War I. Jean-Pierre Magro (Bulgarian Rhapsody) wrote the screenplay and is also producing the project with Pedja Miletic and Aaron Briffa. Read the rest of this entry »

Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the comedy Irresistible written and directed by Jon Stewart and starring Steve Carell, Rose Byrne, Chris Cooper, Topher Grace, Natasha Lyonne, Mackenzie Davis, CJ Wilson and Will Sasso. The film’s original music is composed by Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, The Revenant, The Kitchen) of the rock band The National. No soundtrack album has been announced. To learn more about the Focus Features release, which follows a Democrat political consultant who helps a retired Marine colonel run for mayor in a small Wisconsin town, visit the official movie website.

Also opening in select theaters while also premiering on Amazon Prime today is the action comedy My Spy directed by Peter Segal and starring Dave Bautista, Kristen Schaal, Parisa Fitz-Henley, Chloe Coleman and Ken Jeong. Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High Castle, Peter Rabbit, Money Monster, Free Birds, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween) has composed the film’s original music. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score in March when the movie was originally was set to open nationwide. Philip Sheppard (In the Shadow of the Moon, The Final Year, Detroit: Become Human, The Tillman Story) has composed the original score for the new HBO docu-series I’ll Be Gone in the Dark. The show is directed by Liz Garbus (What Happened, Miss Simone?, Lost Girls) and explores writer Michelle McNamara’s investigation into the dark world of a violent predator she dubbed the Golden State Killer. The 6-parter based on the book of the same name is a detective story told in McNamara’s own words, through exclusive original recordings and excerpts from her book read by actor Amy Ryan. ‘Steven Universe’ Season 2 Score Album Released

WaterTower Music has released the second score album for the Cartoon Network animated series Steven Universe. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s second season composed by Aivi & Surasshu (aka Aivi Tran & Steven “Surasshu” Velema). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released an album featuring the composer’s score from Season 1 last month. Three more soundtracks featuring the score from the third, fourth and fifth seasons will be released over the next couple of months. Starboard has released the original song Together In This from the animated feature Jungle Beat: The Movie. The track is written by Jonas Myrin and performed by Natasha Bedingfield. The song is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. Also listen to the full track after the jump. Jungle Beat: The Movie is written and directed by Brent Dawes based on the hit TV series of the same title and tells the story of a homesick alien who crash-lands his spaceship near the colorful African jungle, and, alongside his new animal friends, needs to find a way to get him back to his ship and teach him about friendship and fun before his Space-Conquerer father can take over the planet. Rubber Records has released a soundtrack album for the Australian comedy drama Judy & Punch. The album features the film’s original music composed by Francois Tétaz (Wolf Creek, Hesher, Rogue, The Portal) . The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. A vinyl edition is also in the works. Judy & Punch is written and directed by Mirrah Foulkes and stars Mia Wasikowska, Damon Herriman, Terry Norris, Gillian Jones, Benedict Hardie, Tom Budge and Lucy Velik.  The movie revolves around two puppeteers as they are trying to resurrect their marionette show in an an anarchic town on the brink of mob rules. Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ docu-series Visible: Out on Television. The album features the original music from the 5-parter composed by Emmy Award nominee Blake Neely (Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, The Pacific, Everwood, Riverdale, The Keepers). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Apple Music/iTunes and Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Visible: Out on Television is directed and executive produced by Ryan White and investigates the importance of TV as an intimate medium that has shaped the American conscience, and how the LGBTQ movement has shaped television. The show is narrated by Janet Mock, Margaret Cho, Asia Kate Dillon, Neil Patrick Harris & Lena Waithe and combines archival footage with interviews with key players from the movement and the screen. Abuno Records has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Disclosure. The album features the film’s original music composed by Francesco Le Metre.
