WaterTower Music has released the second score album for the Cartoon Network animated series Steven Universe. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s second season composed by Aivi & Surasshu (aka Aivi Tran & Steven “Surasshu” Velema). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released an album featuring the composer’s score from Season 1 last month. Three more soundtracks featuring the score from the third, fourth and fifth seasons will be released over the next couple of months. Starboard has released the original song Together In This from the animated feature Jungle Beat: The Movie. The track is written by Jonas Myrin and performed by Natasha Bedingfield. Orange Mountain Music will release a soundtrack album for the documentary The Last Dalai Lama?. Hannes De Maeyer is attached to score the upcoming Belgian coming-of-age drama Rebel. The film is directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah (Bad Boys for Life) and stars Amir El Arbi, Aboubakr Bensaihi and Lubna Azabal. The movie revolves around a 13-year-old Moroccan boy from Molenbeek as he is searching for an identity after his father’s death. El Arbi and Fallah also co-wrote the screenplay with Jan Van Dyck and Kevin Meul. Bert Hamelinck (The Diary of a Teenage Girl, The Rider) and Dimitri Verbeeck are producing the Caviar, Beluga Tree, Calach Films and Le Collectif 64 production. Varese Sarabande has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1978 biographical drama The Buddy Holly Story directed by Steve Rash and starring Gary Busey, Don Stroud, Charles Martin Smith, Conrad Janis, William Jordan and Maria Richwine. The album features the songs from the movie, including eleven tracks not included on the original soundtrack, such as That’ll Be the Day, Mockingbird Hill and Tennessee Waltz performed by Busey (as Buddy Holly), Chantilly Lace performed by Gailard Sartain (as the Big Bopper) and You Send Me performed by Paul Mooney (as Sam Cooke).
