La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1986 sequel The Karate Kid Part II directed by John G. Avildsen and starring Ralph Macchio, Pat Morita, Nobu McCarthy, Tamlyn Tomita, Yuji Okumoto, Joey Miyashima, Marc Hayashi, Danny Kamekona, Martin Kove and William Zabka. The album features the remastered and expanded original score from the film composed by Academy Award winner Bill Conti (Rocky, The Right Stuff, For Your Eyes Only, Masters of the Universe, The Thomas Crown Affair), including previously unreleased music and alternate cues. Equity Distribution & Zorg Limited have released a score album for the Netflix animated feature Fearless. The album features the film’s original score composed by Anne-Kathrin Dern (The Jade Pendant, The Legend of the War Horse, Sprite Sisters, Help, I Shrunk My Parents). Klaus Badelt (Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Rescue Dawn, The Time Machine) serves as the project’s score producer. The show is developed by Pattton Oswalt & Jordan Blum (American Dad) based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name and features the voices of Oswalt himself, Aimee Garcia, Melissa Fumero, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ben Schwartz, Beck Bennett, Jon Daly and Sam Richardson. Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for Steven Spielberg’s 2005 feature War of the Worlds starring Tom Cruise, Dakota Fanning, Justin Chatwin, Miranda Otto and Tim Robbins. The 2-CD set features the remastered and expanded score from the Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Pictures production composed and conducted by John Williams (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Schindler’s List, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Jaws), including the film’s complete score on the first disc and a remastered version of the original 2005 soundtrack album, as well as 15 minutes of extras on the second disc.
