Already playing in theaters nationwide since this past Wednesday is the animated sequel The Croods: A New Age directed by Joel Crawford and starring Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Leslie Mann, Catherine Keener, Clark Duke, Cloris Leachman, Peter Dinklage and Kelly Marie Tran. The film’s original score is composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, THE LEGO Movie, 21/22 Jump Street, Hotel Transylvania). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the original song Feel The Thunder performed by HAIM. Opening in select theaters and on VOD this week is the biographical drama Stardust co-written and directed by Gabriel Range and starring Johnny Flynn, Jena Malone, Marc Maron, Anthony Flanagan, Aaron Poole, Derek Moran, Julian Richings and Monica Parker. Anne Nikitin (American Animals, Calibre, This Beautiful Fantastic, Lost Girls, The Pale Horse) has composed the film’s original score. No word on a soundtrack release.
