Robert Duncan is set to score the upcoming NBC drama Timeless. The show is created by Eric Kripke (Supernatural, Revolution) and Shawn Ryan (The Shield) and stars Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Goran Visnjic, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey and Claudia Doumit. The series follows a scientist, a soldier and a history professor who are traveling through time to battle unknown criminals in order to protect history as we know it. Ryan and Kripke are also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television production with John Davis (I, Robot, Chronicle, Waterworld) & John Fox (The Blacklist) and Marney Hochman (The Get Down).

‘Greenleaf’ Soundtrack Announced
Malaco Records will release a soundtrack album for the OWN original series Greenleaf. The album features the songs from the show performed by the drama’s cast, as well as tracks by Mavis Staples, Shirley Caesar, McCrary Sisters, Melinda Doolittle and Nicole Mullen. The soundtrack will be released on August 26, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Greenleaf is created by Craig Wright and stars Merle Dandridge, Lynn Whitfield, Keith David, Lamman Rucker, Tye White, Kim Hawthorne, Gregory Alan Williams, Deborah Joy Winans and Oprah Winfrey. The series is set against the backdrop of a Memphis megachurch and follows an estranged daughter and a preacher who has returned home after two decades on the occasion of the mysterious death of her sister.
Siddhartha Khosla to Score NBC’s ‘This Is Us’
Siddhartha Khosla has been tapped to score the upcoming NBC comedy drama This Is Us. The show is created by Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love, Bolt, Cars, Danny Collins, Galavant) and stars Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia and Sterling K. Brown. The series centers around a group of people born on the same day, including a married couple expecting triplets in Pittsburgh and a television actor growing bored of his fly bachelor lifestyle. Fogelman is also executive producing the 20th Century Fox Television production with Jess Rosenthal, Charlie Gogolak, as well as John Requa & Glenn Ficarra (Crazy, Stupid, Love, Focus, I Love You Phillip Morris) who also directed the pilot episode.

Premiering tonight is the new Showtime original series Roadies created by Cameron Crowe and starring Carla Gugino, Luke Wilson, Imogen Poots, Rafe Spall, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Peter Cambor, Colson Baker, Ron White, Luis Guzman, Jacqueline Byers and Rainn Wilson. Republic Records and Stardogs Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the drama by Bob Dylan, The Ramones, The Replacements, The Ting Tings & Jeff Buckley on August 26. Methodic Doubt’s Kris Dirksen Scoring Cinemax’s ‘Quarry’
Kris Dirksen is composing the score for the upcoming Cinemax original series Quarry. The show is created by Graham Gordy (The Love Guru) & Michael D. Fuller based on the novels of Max Allan Collins and stars Logan Marshall-Green, Jodi Balfour, Peter Mullan, Nikki Amuka-Bird and Damon Herriman. The series follows a Marine who returns home to Memphis from Vietnam in 1972 and finds himself shunned by those he loves and demonized by the public and is drawn into a network of killing and corruption. Gordy and Fuller are also executive producing the project with Steve Golin (The Revenant, Spotlight, Mr. Robot) and Greg Yaitanes (House) who directed all episodes of the first season.
John Lunn to Score ‘Jamestown’ & ‘The White Princess’
John Lunn is set to compose the music for the upcoming British series Jamestown. The show is written by Bill Gallagher (The Paradise, Blood) and stars Max Beesley, Jason Flemyng, Dean Lennox-Kelly, Naomi Battrick, Sophie Rundle, Shaun Dooley, Stuart Martin, Steven Waddington, Matt Stokoe, Burn Gorman and Niamh Walsh. The 8-part drama is set in 1619 and follows the British settlers as they establish a community in the New World. Carnival Films’ Gareth Neame & Nigel Marchant are executive producing the project with Richard Fell.
Jeff Russo to Score Syfy’s ‘Channel Zero’
Jeff Russo is set to score the upcoming Syfy original series Channel Zero. The show is created by Nick Antosca (The Forest) based on Kris Straub’s online short story and will star Paul Schneider, Fiona Shaw, Shaun Benson, Natalie Brown and Luisa D’Oliveira. The anthology series centers on one man’s obsessive recollection of a mysterious children’s television program from the 1980s – and his ever-growing suspicions about the role it might have played in a series of nightmarish and deadly events from his childhood. Craig William Macneill (The Boy) will direct all episodes of the first season. Antosca is also executive producing the Universal Cable production with Max Landis (Chronicle, American Ultra, Victor Frankenstein).
Songs from FX’s ‘Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll’ Season 2 to Be Released
FX Networks will release several new songs from the second season of the FX original series Sex& Drugs& Rock&Roll. To be released on June 30 are the tracks Ain’t No Valentine performed by the early 90’s New York band from the show called The Assassins (feat. Elizabeth Gillies), as well as Hush performed by Ava X & Liza Colby. A week later, July 7, sees the release of the songs Liar & Go Funk Yourself performed by The Davvy O’s & Rebecca Naomi Jones. On July 14, FX will release the track Don’t Break Me Too and two weeks later, Just Le Me Go, both performed by The Assassins (feat. Elizabeth Gillies). Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll is created by Denis Leary (Rescue Me) who also stars in the series alongside John Corbett, Elizabeth Gillies, Elaine Hendrix and Bobby Kelly.
Daniel Hart to Score Fox’s ‘The Exorcist’ TV Series
Daniel Hart has been tapped to score the upcoming Fox drama The Exorcist. The show is created by Jeremy Slater (Fantastic Four, The Lazarus Effect) and stars Alfonso Herrera, Ben Daniels, Geena Davis, Brianne Howey, Hannah Kasulka and Kurt Egyiawa. The series is based on William Peter Blatty’s novel of the same title, which inspired William Friedkin’s Academy Award-winning 1973 feature and follows two very different priests tackling one family’s case of horrifying demonic possession. Slater is also executive producing the 20th Century Fox Television and Morgan Creek production with Rolin Jones, James & David Robinson (The Good Shepherd, Dream House, Exorcist: The Beginning), Barbara Wall and Roy Lee (The Lego Movie, The Strangers), as well as Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, The Gambler) who also directed the pilot episode.
‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Soundtrack Details
The details of the sixth soundtrack album for the HBO hit series Game of Thrones have been revealed. The album features selections of original music from the show’s sixth season composed by Ramin Djawadi (Iron Man, Pacific Rim, Clash of the Titans, Warcraft).
