WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album for the Adult Swim animated series Primal. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2, 300, John Wick, The Punisher, Hobbs & Shaw, Watchmen) & Joanne Higginbottom (Samurai Jack, The Public). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. Primal is created by Genndy Tartakovsky and centers on a caveman at the dawn of evolution and a dinosaur on the brink of extinction who become the only hope of survival in a violent, primordial world.

Songs from HBO’s ‘We Are Who We Are’ Released
Milan Records has released a second soundtrack album for the HBO/Sky limited series We Are Who We Are. The album features a selection of songs from the show by artists including Prince, Radiohead, David Bowie, Aaron Carter, Klaus Nomi, Arto Lindsay, Anna Oxa, Phil Oakey & Giorgio Moroder, Kip Hanrahan and Blood Orange (aka Devonté Hynes). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has also released a separate soundtrack featuring Hynes’ original score from the drama. We Are Who We Are is written and directed by Luca Guadagnino and stars Jack Dylan Grazer, Chloë Sevigny, Spence Moore II, Kid Cudi, Alice Braga, Jordan Kristine Seamón, Francesca Scorsese, Faith Alabi, Ben Taylor, Tom Mercier, Corey Knight and Sebastiano Pigazzi.
Cinco Paul to Compose Music for Apple TV+ Musical Series
Cinco Paul is composing the original music for an upcoming untitled Apple TV+ musical series created by Paul himself & Ken Daurio (Despicable Me series, The Secret Life of Pets) and starring Cecily Strong, Keegan-Michael Key, Alan Cumming, Fred Armisen, Kristin Chenoweth, Aaron Tveit, Dove Cameron, Ariana DeBose, Jaime Camil, Jane Krakowski and Ann Harada. The show follows a couple who embarks on a backpacking trip in order to reinvigorate their relationship, when they discover the magical town of Schmigadoon, in which everyone acts as if they are in a studio musical from the 1940s. Barry Sonnenfeld (Men in Black, The Addams Family) is directing the comedy. Paul also serves as the project’s showrunner.
Jamison Hollister Scoring Showtime’s ‘The Good Lord Bird’
Jamison Hollister is the composer of the new Showtime limited series The Good Lord Bird. The show is based on the National Book Award-winning novel of the same title by James McBride and stars Ethan Hawke, Ellar Coltrane, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Beau Knapp, Nick Eversman, Jack Alcott and Mo Brings Plenty, as well as guest stars Daveed Diggs, David Morse, Steve Zahn, Maya Hawke, Wyatt Russell and Orlando Jones. The 7-part drama is told from the point of view of a fictional enslaved boy who becomes a member of controversial abolitionist John Brown’s motley family of soldiers during Bleeding Kansas and eventually finds himself participating in the famous 1859 raid on the U.S. Armory at Harpers Ferry.

Maya Records has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Sneakerheads. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Haim Mazar (The Iceman, The Taking of Deborah Logan, I Am Wrath) . The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, Apple Music and Spotify. Sneakerheads is created by Jay Longino and stars Allen Maldonado, Andrew Bachelor, Yaani King Mondschein, Jearnest Corchado, Matthew Josten, Justin Lee and Aja Evans. The comedy produced by Complex Networks follows a former sneakerhead turned stay-at-home dad as he gets back in the game only to quickly find himself five G’s in the hole after falling for one of old friend’s get-rich-quick schemes.

Netflix’s ‘Emily in Paris’ to Feature Original Theme by James Newton Howard
James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, King Kong, The Sixth Sense, Signs, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The Fugitive) has written the original theme music for the new Netflix original series Emily in Paris. The show is created by Darren Star (Sex and the City, Younger) and stars Lily Collins, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Kate Walsh, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery and Camille Razat. The romantic comedy revolves around a Chicago marketing exec who – after anding her dream job in Paris – embraces her adventurous new life while juggling work, friends and romance. Brienne Rose serves as the project’s music supervisor.
‘The 100’ Season 7 Soundtrack Album Details
WaterTower Music will release a new soundtrack album for the CW drama The 100. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s seventh and final season composed by Tree Adams (Californication, Perception, NCIS: New Orleans, Swelter). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 1 and will be available to stream/download here. The label has previously released four soundtrack albums featuring the composer’s score from the series’ third, fourth, fifth and sixth season. The 100 is developed by Jason Rothenberg based on the book by Kass Morgan and stars Eliza Taylor, Paige Turco, Bob Morley, Christopher Larkin, Marie Avgeropoulos, Henry Ian Cusick, Tasya Teles, Richard Harmon Shannon Kook and Lindsey Morgan.

Keegan DeWitt Scoring Quibi’s ‘The Expecting’
Keegan DeWitt (Hearts Beat Loud, Gemini, Divorce, I’ll See You in My Dreams, Sorry for Your Loss) has composed the original music for the new Quibi original series The Expecting. The show is written by Ben Ketai (Beneath, Chosen, StartUp, The Strangers: Prey at Night), directed by Mary Harron (American Psycho, The Notorious Bettie Page) and stars AnnaSophia Robb, Rory Culkin, Mira Sorvino, Hannah Murray and Michael Gaston. The sci-fi thriller revolves around a young woman who is pregnant under mysterious circumstances and must deal with the increasingly disturbing effects of her pregnancy and the potential conspiracy surrounding it.
