The movie is based on Julian Barnes’ Man Booker Prize-winning novel of the same title and follows a man who becomes haunted by his past and is presented with a mysterious legacy that causes him to re-think his current situation in life. Ryan Franks and Scott Nickoley have been hired to score the upcoming thriller Southern Fury. The film is directed by Steven C. Miller (Silent Night, Extraction, Marauders) and stars Nicolas Cage, John Cusack and Adrian Grenier. The movie follows a Philadelphia businessman whose deadbeat brother is kidnapped for a large ransom – leading everyone to believe that the brother is involved in the kidnapping. Jason Mosberg has written the screenplay. Randall Emmett and George Furla (Lone Survivor, 2 Guns, Righteous Kill, Escape Plan) are producing the project for their Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films production company.

Nathan Larson has composed the music for the upcoming sci-fi thriller Rapture. The film is directed by Steven Shainberg (Secretary, Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Farbus) and stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Chiklis, Peter Stormare, Lesley Manville, Kerry Bishé and Ari Millen. The movie follows a single mother who tries to break free from a mysterious organization that has abducted her. Brian Nelson (Hard Candy, 30 Days of Night) has written a screenplay based on a story by himself and Shainberg. The director is also producing the project with Andrew Lazar (American Sniper, Space Cowboys, Get Smart), Christina Weiss Lurie, Andrea Iervolino & Monika Bacardi (In Dubious Battle).

Corey Allen Jackson has signed on to score the upcoming comedy The Brits Are Coming. The film is directed by James Oakley (The Devil You Know) and stars Uma Thurman, Stephen Fry, Tim Roth, Parker Posey, Maggie Q, Alice Eve, Crispin Glover and Sofia Vergara. The movie follows a British con-artist couple who flee to Los Angeles to avoid paying a large debt to a gangster and try to win back the money via a jewel theft operation. Oakley also co-wrote the screenplay with Alex Michaelides. Cassian Elwes (Lee Daniels’ The Butler, Elvis & Nixon), JC Chandor (A Most Violent Year, All Is Lost), Robert Ogden Barnum (Margin Call, Miles Ahead) and Dave Hansen (Lovesong) are producing the project.

Christopher Spelman has composed the original music for the drama The Lost City of Z. The film is written and directed by James Gray (We Own the Night, The Yards, Little Odessa) and stars Charlie Hunnam, Robert Pattinson, Sienna Miller, Tom Holland, Angus Macfadyen, Edward Ashley, Clive Francis, Ian McDiarmid, Franco Nero and Matthew Sunderland. The movie is based on David Grann’s best-selling book of the same title and centers on British explorer Col. Percival Fawcett who disappeared while searching for a mysterious city in the Amazon in the 1920s.

Dustin O’Halloran is set to compose the music for the upcoming drama Chappaquiddick. The film is directed by John Curran (The Painted Veil, Tracks, Stone) and stars Jason Clarke, Kate Mara, Ed Helms, Bruce Dern, Jim Gaffigan and Olivia Thirlby. The movie revolves around the tragic car accident that took the life of Mary Jo Kopechne when Senator Ted Kennedy crashed his car off a one-lane bridge in the summer of 1969. Taylor Allen and Andrew Logan have written the Black List-honored screenplay. Mark Ciardi (Miracle, The Rookie, McFarland, USA) and Campbell McInnes are producing the project for Apex Entertainment.

Brian Tyler is currently recording his score for the upcoming action sequel xXx: Return of Xander Cage. The film is directed by D.J. Johann Johannsson to Score Darren Aronofsky’s Next Movie
Darren Aronofsky revealed at a Master Class at the Reykjavík Film Festival that Johann Johannsson will be composing the music for the director’s next, currently untitled movie. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Michelle Pfeiffer, Domhnall Gleeson and Ed Harris. The drama centers on a couple whose relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence. Aronofsky has also written the screenplay and is producing the project with Scott Franklin and Ari Handel (Jackie). It marks Johannsson’s first collaboration with Aronofsky.
