The film is directed by Frank Coraci (The Wedding Singer, The Waterboy) and stars Steve Coogan, Neve Campbell and Taylor Russell. The movie centers on a conservative talk radio host who finds his world turned upside down when his 16-year-old niece comes crashing into his life. Will Reichel wrote the screenplay. Coraci is also producing the project with Aimee Keen and Susan Leber (Aardvark).

Andrew Kawczynski Scoring Ron Scalpello’s ‘The Corrupted’
Andrew Kawczynski is composing the music for the upcoming British thriller The Corrupted. The film is directed by Ron Scalpello (Pressure, My Name Is Lenny) and stars Sam Claflin, Timothy Spall, Hugh Bonneville and Noel Clarke. The movie follows an ex-con determined to rebuild his life after losing everything at the hands of a local crime syndicate. Nick Moorcroft (Finding Your Feet, Urban Hymn) wrote the screenplay. Andrew Berg & John Sachs (Finding Your Feet) are producing the project for Eclipse Films, alongside Nik Bower (Final Portrait) for Riverstone Pictures and Laure Vaysse (Tell It to the Bees) for REP Crime.
Philip White Scoring Tyler Perry’s ‘Nobody’s Fool’
Philip White has recently scored the upcoming comedy Nobody’s Fool. The film is written and directed by Tyler Perry and stars Tiffany Haddish, Tika Sumpter, Omari Hardwick, Mehcad Brooks, Amber Riley and Whoopi Goldberg. The movie centers on a woman who is forced to accept that she may be getting “catfished” by an online boyfriend whom she has never met in person, when her wild sister gets released from prison and re-enters her life. Perry is also producing the comedy with Will Areu and Mark E. Swinton. Christopher Lennertz (Lost in Space, Horrible Bosses, Sausage Party) serves as the project’s score producer.
Christopher Young to Score ‘Pet Sematary’ Remake
Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3, Hellraiser, Ghost Rider, Entrapment, The Grudge) has been tapped to score the upcoming new film adaptation of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary. The film is directed by Kevin Kölsch & Dennis Widmyer (Starry Eyes) and stars Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, John Lithgow, Jeté Laurence and Hugo & Lucas Lavoie. The movie follows a young family who, after moving to a rural home, discover they are living next to a creepy pet cemetery endowed with powers to reanimate whatever is buried on its grounds. Jeff Buhler (Nightflyers, Jacob’s Ladder) wrote the screenplay.
The War On Drugs’ Jon Natchez Scoring Luke Jaden’s ‘BOO!’
Jon Natchez of the indie rock band The War on Drugs has composed the score for the upcoming horror movie BOO!. The film is directed by Luke Jaden and stars Jaden Piner, Aurora Perrineau, Jill Marie Jones, Charley Palmer Rothwell, Dwight Henry and Rob Zabrecky. The movie follows a family that battles an unseen force as they soon realize they must band together in order to stop the unimaginable terror. Deadline is reporting that the Scottish indie band Belle and Sebastian will make its film scoring debut on the upcoming British coming-of-age comedy Days of the Bagnold Summer. The film is directed by Simon Bird and stars Monica Dolan, Earl Cave, Rob Brydon, Tamsin Greig, Alice Lowe and Elliot Speller-Gillot. The movie revolves around a heavy metal-loving 15 year-old boy whose Florida who must spend six weeks at home with the person who annoys him most in the world: his long-suffering, single mum.
Joel P West to Reteam with Destin Daniel Cretton on ‘Just Mercy’
Composer Joel P West is reteaming with director Destin Daniel Cretton on the upcoming drama Just Mercy. The movie starring Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Foxx, Brie Larson, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Rob Morgan and Tim Blake Nelson is based on the bestselling book Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson and tells the true story of a gifted young lawyer fighting for equal justice in a flawed legal system. Cretton also co-wrote the screenplay with Andrew Lanham (The Shack). Gil Netter (Life of Pi, The Blind Side) is producing the project with Asher Goldstein (Short Term 12).
