Hans Zimmer has confirmed that he will be returning for the Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two. Legendary Pictures & Warner Bros. Pictures have announced today that production on the second part of the sci-epic is moving forward. No casting announcements have been made yet, but most cast members from the first installment are expected to return. Zimmer’s music from Part One has been released by WaterTower Music. Dune starring Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Stellan Skarsgård, Josh Brolin, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Dave Bautista and Javier Bardem is currently playing in theaters nationwide and also available to stream on HBO Max.

The drama is directed by Nora Fingscheidt (System Crashers) and stars Sandra Bullock, Viola Davis, Rob Morgan, Aisling Franciosi, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jon Bernthal and Richard Thomas. The movie centers on a woman who is released from prison after serving a sentence for a violent crime and re-enters a society that refuses to forgive her past. Peter Craig (The Town, The Hunger Games: Mockinjay), Hillary Seitz (Insomnia, Eagle Eye) & Courtenay Miles (Mindhunter) wrote the screenplay base don the 3-part British mini-series Unforgiven.

Ram Khatabakhsh (Skylines, Portals, The Hunger Games Exhibition, Transformers Autobots) has composed the original score for the upcoming action thriller Never Back Down: Revolt. The film is directed by Kellie Madison (The Tank) and stars Olivia Popica, Michael Bisping, Brooke Johnston and James Faulkner. The fourth installment in the Never Back Down series follows an amateur fighter who is lured by a trafficking syndicate specializing in elite underground fighting where her brutal captor forces her to fight or face certain death.
Samuel Sim Scoring ITV’s ‘The Long Call’
Samuel Sim (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, The Spanish Princess, Domina, The Halcyon, Home Fires) has composed the original music of the new ITV series The Long Call. The show is written and adapted by Kelly Jones inspired by the best-selling novel of the same title by Ann Cleeves (Vera, Shetland) and stars Ben Aldridge, Juliet Stevenson, Martin Shaw, Anita Dobson, Neil Morrissey, Dylan Edwards, Pearl Mackie, Sarah Gordy, Amit Shah and Alan Williams. The 4-part crime drama revolves around Detective Inspector Matthew Venn, who has returned to live in a small community in North Devon with his husband, a place he walked away from 20 years ago, after being rejected by his family.

The movie centers on the wartime experiences of Lee Miller who traded a glamorous career as a Vogue cover model for a dangerous career as a WWII photographer who chronicled the fighting on the allied front lines and exposed the atrocities of Hitler’s Nazi Germany.

The film is directed by Pierre Morel (Taken, Peppermint, From Paris with Love) and stars Marwan Abdulla Saleh, Khalifa Al Jassem and Mohammed Ahmed. The movie centers on a rescue mission of a small group of Emirati soldiers trapped by rebel fighters in a mountainous valley. Brandon Birtell and Kurtis Birtell (Medal of Honor) wrote the screenplay.

The film is written and directed by Sorkin and stars Nicole Kidman as iconic comedienne Lucille Ball and Javier Bardem as her husband Desi Arnaz. Nina Arianda, J.K. Simmons, Tony Hale, Alia Shwkat, Jake Lacy and Clark Gregg are also starring in the movie, which takes place during a week of production of the classic TV show I Love Lucy and explores the relationship between Ball and Arnaz as they face a set of crises that could end both their careers and their marriage.
John Murphy to Reteam with James Gunn on Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’
James Gunn has confirmed in a recent interview with Cinemablend that John Murphy (28 Days Later..., Sunshine, Snatch, Kick-Ass, Millions, Guess Who) is reuniting with the director as the composer of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The film written and directed by Gunn will star Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki,Sean Gunn and Will Poulter. No plot details have been announced yet. Kevin Feige (Avengers, Iron Man, Black Panther) is producing the Marvel Studios production.

Thomas Wander has recently started recording his score for the upcoming sci-fi disaster thriller Moonfall. The film is directed by Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, Stargate) and stars Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, John Bradley, Michael Peña, Charlie Plummer, Eme Ikwuakor, Kelly Yu, Carolina Bartczak, and Donald Sutherland. The movie follows an NASA executive and former astronaut who is convinced she has the key to saving the world after a mysterious force knocks the Moon from its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course with life as we know it. Emmerich also co-wrote the screenplay with Harald Kloser and Spenser Cohen (Extinction).
