Also opening wide is the psychological horror thriller Fear co-written and directed by Deon Taylor and starring Joseph Sikora, Andrew Bachelor, Ruby Modine, Annie Ilonzeh, Iddo Goldberg, Terrence Jenkins, Tip “T.I.” Harris and Jessica Allain. Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Disturbia, Christopher Robin) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. Opening semi-wide in a couple of hundred theaters is the romantic comedy Maybe I Do written and directed by Michael Jacobs and starring Emma Roberts, Luke Bracey, Diane Keaton, Susan Sarandon, Richard Gere and William H. Macy. The film’s original score is composed by Lesley Barber (Manchester by the Sea, Late Night, You Can Count On Me, The Moth Diaries). Fifth Season Music & Lakeshore Records have released the original song Always You co-written and performed by Ruth B. from the movie today. Opening in select U.S. theaters is the Belgian drama Close co-written and directed by Lukas Dhont and starring Eden Dambrine, Émilie Dequenne, Gustav De Waele and Léa Drucker. Valentin Hadjadj (Girl, Under the Stars of Paris, April and the Extraordinary World, A Bigger World) has composed the film’s original music. Diaphana Films & Menuet BV have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last fall when the movie opened overseas. Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score back in 2021 when the movie opened in France. Opening in select theaters today before coming out on VOD next Tuesday, January 31, is the horror thriller Blood directed by Brad Anderson and starring Michelle Monaghan, Skeet Ulrich, June B. Wilde, Finlay Wojtak-Hissong and Skylar Morgan Jones. Matthew Rogers (Adventures in Public School, Volition, Darc, The Unspoken) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been announced. The movie, which follows a mother whose son is bitten by a dog, resulting in a mysterious infection from the bit, is being released by Vertical Entertainment.
