Premiering tonight is the AMC original series Dispatches from Elsewhere created by Jason Segel and starring Segel himself, André Benjamin, Sally Field, Octavio Coleman, Richard E. Grant and Eve Lindley. The show’s original music is composed by Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Gone Girl, Watchmen, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Leopold Ross & Claudia Sarne (The Book of Eli, Triple 9, Broken City). Premiering tomorrow, March 2 is the FX original series Breeders created by Simon Blackwell ,Chris Addison & Martin Freeman and starring Freeman himself, Daisy Haggard, George Wakeman, Jayda Eyles, Michael McKean, Joanna Bacon and Alun Armstrong. Oli Julian (Sex Education, Catastrophe, Episodes, Plebs) is composing the show’s original music. Premiering on Thursday, March 5, is the FX on Hulu original limited series Devs created by Alex Garland and starring Sonoya Mizuno, Nick Offerman, Jin Ha, Zach Grenier, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Cailee Spaeny and Alison Pill. The show’s original music is composed by Geoff Barrow & Ben Salisbury (Hanna, Luce, Free Fire) who have previously scored Garland’s last two features Ex Machina and Annihilation. Premiering on Friday, March 6, is the Apple TV+ anthology series Amazing Stories executive produced by Steven Spielberg , Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey, Edward Kitsis, Adam Horowitz, Chris Long, Don Kurt and David Goodman. The first five episodes of the reboot are scored by Nicholas Pike (Critters 2, Return to Me), Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Westworld) & Brandon Campbell (Slender Man), Noah Sorota (Falling Skies). Also premiering on Friday is the Amazon original series ZeroZeroZero created by Stefano Sollima, Leonardo Fasoli & Mauricio Katz based on the novel of the same name by Roberto Saviano and starring Andrea Riseborough, Dane DeHaan and Gabriel Byrne. The show’s original music is composed by the post-rock band Mogwai (The Returned, Kin, Before the Blood). The crime drama, which traces the global cocaine trade by following one shipment on its journey around the world, premiered last month overseas on Sky Atlantic and is making its U.S. debut on Amazon Prime.
Also premiering on Friday is the Hulu docu-series Hillary directed by Nanette Burstein about the life and work of Hillary Rodham Clinton. Will Bates (I Origins, The Magicians, Unbelievable, The Looming Tower, The Path, Another Earth) has composed the original music for the show. The 4-parter, which interweaves biographical chapters of Clinton’s life with behind-the-scenes footage from her 2016 U.S. presidential campaign, premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be available to stream exclusively on Hulu.
Also premiering on Friday is the FX docu-series The Most Dangerous Animal of All directed by Kief Davidson and executive produced by Ross M. Dinerstein. The show’s original music is composed by H. Scott Salinas (A Private War, Cartel Land, The Banker, The Ivory Game, The Ballad of Lefty Brown, Warrior). Missing from last week’s TV music roundup was the new Netflix original series I Am Not Okay with This created by Jonathan Entwistle & Christy Hall based on Charles Forsman’s graphic novel and starring Sophia Lillis, Wyatt Oleff, Sofia Bryant, Richard Ellis, Kathleen Rose Perkins and Aidan Wojtak-Hissong. Blur’s Graham Coxon (The End of the F***ing World) is composing the show’s original music. BMG has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the drama’s first season written by Coxon and performed by Bloodwitch.
