Rolfe Kent (Sideways, Wedding Crashers, Election, Mean Girls, Up in the Air) has been tapped to score the upcoming romantic drama The Man Who Saved Paris. The film is directed by Robert Budreau (Born to Be Blue, Stockholm) and stars Stanley Tucci, Kristen Scott Thomas, Jean Reno and Tom Wilkinson. The movie is set in 1940s Paris and revolves around a successful brothel owner who is asked by the government to restore the city’s image after the Nazi Occupation and falls in love when he least expects it. Phillip Jayson Lasker (The Man from Elysian Fields) wrote the screenplay. Dean Zanuck (Road to Perdition, Get Low) is producing the project with Budreau, Daniel Baur (Anon), Dutch Hofstetter (Soul Surfer), Sandra Siegal (The Charnel House) and Jonathan Bromfman (The Void). The Man Who Saved Paris is expected to premiere in 2019.
Kent also recently scored the biographical comedy drama Stan & Ollie, which has just opened in limited release this past Friday.
