The full details of the soundtrack album for Disney’s comedy sequel Freakier Friday have been revealed. The album features the new cover of Pink Slip’s Take Me Away (previously released as a digital single earlier this month), as well as songs by cast members Lindsday Lohan, Julia Butters & Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, as well as The Beaches and Chantry Johnson. Also included are four tracks from the film’s original score composed by Amie Doherty (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Happiest Season, Spirit Untamed, Undone, The High Note, Please Don’t Destroy). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 1 by Hollywood Records and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Freakier Friday is directed by Nisha Ganatra and also stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Julia Butters, Manny Jacinto, Rosalind Chao, Vanessa Bayer, Sophia Hammons, Chad Michael Murray and Mark Harmon. The comedy, which picks up years after the events from 2003’s original Freaky Friday movie as Tess & Anna have to navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge and discover that lightning might indeed strike twice, will be released in theaters nationwide next Friday, August 8 by Walt Disney Pictures..
