Ben Onono (Missing You, Half of a Yellow Sun, Ridley Road, Safe, Spell, Paranoid, Safe, Trust Me) has recently scored the new British Disney+/Freeform limited series The Stolen Girl. The show is developed by Catherine Moulton based on the best-selling novel by Alex Dahl and stars Denise Gough, Holliday Grainger , Jim Sturgess, Ambika Mod, Bronagh Waugh and Michael Workéyè. The 5-part psychological drama directed by Eva Husson (Mothering Sunday, Girls of the Sun) and follows a couple whose mundane existence spirals into chaos when their daughter goes missing after what appears to be a normal sleepover with a school friend and the mother is forced to embark on a cat-and-mouse chase across Europe to discover the shocking truth about her disappearance. Moulton, Dahl & Husson are also executive producing the project with Nicola Shindler (Stay Close, Nolly) for Quay Street Productions, as well as Tanya Seghatchian (The Power of the Dog, Cold War) and John Woodward (Kaos) for Brightstar. The Stolen Girl is premiering in the UK and other international markets today on Disney+ and is making its domestic debut tonight on Freeform (and will also be available to stream on Hulu the next day).
