Composer Alex Heffes (The Last King of Scotland, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Queen of Katwe, The Regime, Touching the Void, State of Play, The Rite) is reteaming with director Peter Webber (Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hannibal Rising) on the upcoming sci-fi horror thriller Dragn. The film starring James Paxton, Carlos Bardem, Lilly Krug & Alice Pagani follows a group of co-workers on a routine corporate team-building trip who unwittingly become the prey of a rogue AI-driven drone. Barry Hutchison and Alexander Gordon Smith wrote the screenplay. Alex Lane & Oleg Shardin are producing the project for Puma In A Tank, alongside Georgia Witkin for GM4U Productions. Heffes has previously collaborated with Webber on the features Emperor, Earth: One Amazing Day and Pickpockets. Dragn just finished principal photography. No word yet on a release date. (Deadline)
