Music Box Records has announced the world premiere release of the score for the 1984 French thriller La Garce co-written and directed by Christine Pascal and starring Isabelle Huppert, Richard Berry, Vittorio Mezzogiorno and Jean Benguigui. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Philippe Sarde (The Tenant, Quest for Fire, Tess, Lord of the Flies, Pirates, Ghost Story, Barocco, Nelly & Monsieur Arnaud). The limited edition CD also includes the composer’s newly remastered score from the 1981 crime drama Choice of Arms (Le Choix des arme) directed by Alain Corneau and starring Yves Montand, Catherine Deneuve and Gerard Depardieu, as well as his (newly remastered and slightly expanded) music from the 1983 feature Waiter! (Garçon!) directed by Claude Sautet and starring Yves Montand, Nicole Garcia, Jacques Villeret and Marie Dubois.
