Music Box Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the French 1997 television event movie The Red and the Black (Le rouge et le noir) directed by Jean-Daniel Verhaeghe and starring Carole Bouquet, Kim Rossi Stuart, Judith Godreche, Bernard Verley, Claude Rich and Constanze Engelbrecht. The album features the original music from the period drama composed by Academy Award nominee Philippe Sarde (The Tenant, Quest for Fire, Lord of the Flies, Barocco, Ghost Story, Pirates) and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra and the Metro Voices Choir.
