Marco Beltrami (Logan, Scream, 3:10 to Yuma, World War Z, Ford v Ferrari, The Hurt Locker, The Wolverine) has teamed up with Marcus Trumpp (Love and Monsters, The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death), Brandon Roberts (Chaos Walking, Motherland: Fort Salem, Underwater) & Anna Drubich (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark) to score the upcoming Fear Street trilogy. The three movies are co-written and directed by Leigh Janiak (Honeymoon) and will star Kiana Madeira, Ashley Zukerman, Olivia Scott Welch, Sadie Sink, Gillian Jacobs, Benjamin Flores Jr., Emily Rudd, Ryan Simpkins, Mccabe Slye, Ted Sutherland, Julia Rehwald, Fred Hechinger, Maya Hawke, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Jordana Spiro and Jordyn Dinatale. The trilogy is based on R.L. Stine’s best selling horror series and revolves around a group of teenagers who – after a series of brutal slayings – take on an evil force that’s plagued their notorious town for centuries. Peter Chernin (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Oblivion), Jenno Topping (The Greatest Showman, Spy), David Ready (Red Sparrow, The Mountain Between Us) and Kori Adelson are producing the project. Fear Street Part 1: 1994 (co-scored by Beltrami & Trumpp) will premiere on July 2, Fear Street Part 2: 1978 (co-scored by Beltrami and Roberts) will debut on July 9 and Fear Street Part 3: 1666 (co-scored by Beltrami & Drubich) will premiere on July 16 exclusively on Netflix.
Beltrami’s other upcoming feature projects include John Kraskinski’s A Quiet Place Part II (to be released this Friday, May 28), Andy Serkis’ Venom: Let There Be Carnage (opening in theaters on September 24) and Alessio Jim Della Valle’s American Night.
