Also premiering on Wednesday the Netflix original film The Boys in the Band directed by Joe Mantello, produced by Ryan Murphy and starring Jim Parsons, Zachary Quinto, Matt Bomer, Andrew Rannells, Charlie Carver, Robin de Jesús, Brian Hutchison, Michael Benjamin Washington and Tuc Watkins. The movie doesn’t feature an original score. Amanda Krieg Thomas serves as the project’s music supervisor. The movie based on the play of the same title by Mart Crowley is set in 1968 New York and revolves around a surprise guest at a birthday party and a drunken game that leave seven gay friends reckoning with unspoken feelings and buried truths. The drama will be available to stream on Netflix.
Premiering on Thursday, October 1 is the British crime drama Gangs of London created by Gareth Evans & Matt Flannery and starring Sope Dirisu, Joe Cole, Michelle Fairley, Lucian Msamati, Mark Lewis Jones, Jing Lusi, Narges Rashidi an Pippa Bennett-Warner. The show’s original music is composed by Aria Prayogi & Fajar Yuskemal (The Raid: Redemption, The Ride, Apostle).
