David Buckley has recently composed the music for the upcoming animated feature Arctic Justice. The film is co-written and directed by Aaron Woodley (Spark: A Space Tail, The Entitled) and features the voices of Jeremy Renner, Alec Baldwin, Heidi Klum, John Cleese, James Franco, Anjelica Huston and Omar Sy. The movie centers on a rag-tag group of inexperienced heroes who come together to stop the sinister Doc Walrus from accelerating global warming and melt the arctic circle. Andrea Iervolino & Monika Bacardi (To the Bone, Black Butterfly, In Dubious Battle) are producing the project for AMBI Media Group. Arctic Justice is expected to be released later this year by Open Road Films/Global Road Media.
Buckley also continues to score CBS All Access’ The Good Fight and also has recently co-scored the first season of Fox’s The Gifted, which has been renewed for a second season. The composer’s other recent feature projects include the Papillon remake, which was picked up last month by Bleecker Street for a theatrical release later this year, as well as the indie comedy drama The Boy Downstairs, which will be released in select theaters and on VOD on February 16 by FilmRise.
