Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Expected to top the weekend box office is the horror movie Annabelle: Creation directed by David Sandberg and starring Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Lulu Wilson, Philippa Anne Coulthard, Grace Fulton, Lou Lou Safran, Samara Lee, Tayler Buck, Anthony LaPaglia and Miranda Otto. The film’s original music is composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (Hidden FiguresLights OutItA Cure for WellnessBitter Harvest). Also opening wide is the animated feature The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature directed by Cal Brunker and featuring the voices of Will Arnett, Katherine Heigl, Maya Rudolph, Bobby Moynihan, Gabriel Iglesias, Jeff Dunham, Bobby Cannavale, Isabel Moner, Sebastian Maniscalo and Jackie Chan. Heitor Pereira (Despicable MeMinionshe Angry Bird Moviehe Smurfs) has composed the film’s original music. Also opening nationwide is the drama The Glass Castle co-written and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and starring Brie Larson, Woody Harrelson, Naomi Watts, Max Greenfield, Sarah Snook and Robin Bartlett. The film’s original music is composed by Joel P West (Grandma, I Am Not a Hipster) who previously scored the director’s last feature Short Term 12. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as West’s original song Summer Storm and a cover of Don’t Fence Me In performed by Darla Hawn. Opening in limited release is crime thriller Good Time directed by Ben Safdie & Joshua Safdie and starring Robert Pattinson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Barkhad Abdi and Benny Safdie. Oneohtrix Point Never (aka Daniel Lopatin) has composed the film’s original music. Warp Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the score, as well as the original song The Pure and the Damned performed by Iggy Pop. Also opening in limited release is the comedy Ingrid Goes West co-writtena and directed by Matt Spicer and starring Aubrey Plaza, Elizabeth Olsen, O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Wyatt Russell. Nick Thorburn and Jonathan Sadoff (Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, The Meddler, The Mick) have composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been announced yet. Also opening in select theaters is the drama The Only Living Boy in New York directed by Marc Webb and starring Kate Beckinsale, Callum Turner, Pierce Brosnan, Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Nixon and Kiersey Clemons. Rob Simonsen (The Spectacular Now, Nerve, Foxcatcher, Going in Style) who previously scored Webb’s Gifted and (500) Days of Summer has composed the film’s original music. Also opening in select cities is the action adventure Pilgrimage directed by Brendan Muldowney and starring Tom Holland, Jon Bernthal and Richard Armitage. The film’s original music is composed by Stephen McKeon (Norm of the NorthQueen and Country). A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score is in the works. Pilgrimage tells the story of 13th century monks who escort a holy relic to Rome on a treacherous journey. The movie is being released in theaters and on VOD by RLJ Entertainment.

Another limited release this week is the horror thriller Open Water 3: Cage Dive directed by Gerald Rascionato and starring Megan Peta Hill, Joel Hogan, Josh Potthoff and Pete Valley. The Newton Brothers (Oculus, Ouija: Origin of EvilLife of CrimeDetachment) have composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been released. Open Water 3 follows three friends who are filming an audition tape for an extreme reality game show and take part in shark cage diving, which soon turns into a catastrophic turn of events.

Also opening in select theaters is the horror thriller Bedeviled directed by Abel Vang & Burlee Vang and starring Saxon Sharbino, Mitchell Edwards, Carson Boatman, Victory Van Tuyl, Brandon Soo Hoo and Jordan Essoe. The film’s original music is composed by David C. Williams (Supernova). Bedeviled revolves around five friends who are terrorized by a supernatural entity after downloading a mysterious app. The movie is being distributed by Freestyle Releasing.
