Julian Wass has been tapped to score the upcoming HBO original series Room 104. The show is created by Mark & Jay Duplass (Cyrus, Jeff Who Lives at Home). The anthology series tells a different story of a group of assorted characters who pass through the room of an average American hotel in each episode. The Duplass brothers are also executive producing the comedy with Xan Aranda (Blue Jay). Wass has previously collaborated with the filmmakers on the features The Do-Deca Pentathlon, which they directed, and The Overnight & Blue Jay, which they produced. He is also scoring the Duplass-produced HBO animated series Animals, which currently airs in its second season every Friday night. Room 104 is set to premiere later this year on HBO.
Wass’ recent projects also include the comedy Fun Mom Dinner starring Katie Aselton & Toni Collette. The comedy premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and was picked up by Momentum Pictures for a release later this year.
