Craig Wedren has signed on to score the upcoming Netflix original series GLOW. The show is created by Liz Flahive (Adult Beginners, Nurse Jackie) & Carly Mensch (Orange Is The New Black) and stars Alison Brie, Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, Marc Maron, Britney Young, Sydelle Noel, Britt Baron, Jackie Tohn, Kimmy Gatewood, Rebekka Johnson, Kate Nash, Sunita Mani and Kia Stevens. The comedy is set in 1980s Los Angeles and revolves around an unemployed actress who keeps her dream alive by portraying a female wrestler. Flahive and Mensch are also executive producing with Jenji Kohan (Orange Is the New Black, Weeds) and Tara Herrmann. G.L.O.W. will premiere on June 23, 2017 on Netflix.
Wedren also has second season of Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer series, entitled Ten Years Later, coming up. The composer also continues to score Starz’s Blunt Talk, ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat and NBC’s Powerless. His upcoming feature projects include Ken Marino’s How to Be a Latin Lover, which will be released in theaters nationwide next month.
