Premiering tonight is the AMC original series Into the Badlands created by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar and starring Daniel Wu, Marton Csokas, Aramis Knight, Emily Beecham, Sarah Bolger and Orla Brady. The show’s original music is composed by David Shephard (Longmire). Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda has written the drama’s title theme. Premiering on Tuesday, November 17, is the new NBC drama Chicago Med created by Michael Brandt & Derek Haas and starring Oliver Platt, S. Epatha Merkerson, Nick Gehlfuss, Yaya DaCosta, Colin Donnell, Torrey DeVitto and Rachel DiPillo. Atli Orvarsson (Vantage Point, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones) who is also scoring NBC’s Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. is composing the show’s original music. Premiering on Wednesday, November 18, in the U.S. on Netflix is the BBC series River written and created by Abi Morgan and starring Stellan Skarsgård, Nicola Walker, Adeel Akhtar, Lesley Manville, Eddie Marsan, Sorcha Cusack and Georgina Rich. The show’s original music composed by Harry Escott (Shame, Hard Candy, A Mighty Heart). Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack featuring the composer’s music from the series overseas. Premiering on Thursday, November 19, is Crackle’s first hour-long scripted drama The Art of More created by Gardner Stern & Chuck Rose and starring Dennis Quaid, Christian Cooke and Kate Bosworth. Mario Sevigny (Tripping the Rift) has composed the music for the first season of the show. The Art of More explores the underbelly of premium auction houses, filled with hustlers, smugglers, power mongers and collectors of the beautiful and the bizarre. To stream the series, visit Crackle.
Premiering on Friday, November 20 on Netflix is Marvel’s Jessica Jones developed and executive produced by Melissa Rosenberg and starring Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, David Tennant, Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty and Will Traval. The show’s original music is composed by Sean Callery (24, Homeland, Bones, Elementary, La Femme Nikita). Jessica Jones follows the title character as she uses her gifts as a private eye to find her tormentor before he can harm anyone else in Hell’s Kitchen. The entire first season of the show will be available to stream this Friday on Netflix.
Also premiering on Friday is the Amazon original series The Man in the High Castle created by Frank Spotnitz and starring Alexa Davalos, Luke Kleintank, Rupert Evans, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Joel De La Fuente, Rufus Sewell and DJ Qualls. Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, X-Men: First Class, Wreck-It-Ralph) and Dominic Lewis (Free Birds, The DUFF) are composing the show’s original music. Premiering on Saturday, November 21, is the Lifetime original movie Jim Henson’s Turkey Hollow directed by Kirk Thatcher and starring Mary Steenburgen, Jay Harrington, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Graham Verchere and Genevieve Buechner. The film’s original music is composed by Mick Giacchino, son of composer Michael Giacchino, who scores his first full feature-length movie.
