David Buckley is set to score the upcoming TNT original series Proof. The supernatural drama stars Jennifer Beals, Matthew Modine, Joe Morton, Callum Blue, Edi Gathegi, Annie Thurman, Sean Gleeson and Caroline Rose Kaplan. The series follows a skeptical, brilliant female surgeon with a caustic edge who has been struggling with the loss of her teenage son and is persuaded to investigate reincarnation, out-of-body experiences, hauntings and other supernatural cases. Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) is executive producing the project with Rob Bragin (Greek), Tom Jacobson (Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, The Ladykillers), Jill Littman and Alex Graves (The West Wing, Game of Thrones) who also directed the pilot episode. Proof is set to premiere in early 2015 on TNT.
Buckley also has the British comedy Breaking the Bank coming up. The film is directed by Vadim Jean (Leon the Pig Farmer, The Color of Magic) and stars Kelsey Grammer, Tamsin Greig, Mathew Horne, Andrew Sachs, John Michael Higgins and Sonya Cassidy. The movie follows the bumbling, incompetent chairman of a 200- year-old bank who discovers that a rogue trader has left the bank in serious financial trouble and attempts to secure its future – without knowing anything about banking. Ex-banker Roger Devlin has written the screenplay and Jake Seal is producing the Black Hangar Studios production. Breaking the Bank is expected to premiere in 2015.
Buckley also continues to score the CBS drama The Good Wife, which currently airs in its sixth season every Sunday night.
