Composer Jay Wadley (I’m Thinking of Ending Things, Tell Me Lies, Swan Song, Franklin, Before, I Carry You with Me) is reteaming with director Andrew Ahn on the upcoming romantic comedy The Wedding Banquet. The film is based on Ang Lee’s 1993 feature of the same title and stars Bowen Yang, Lily Gladstone, Kelly Marie Tran, Joan Chen,Han Gi-chan and Youn Yuh-jung. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Sky/Peacock original series The Day of the Jackal. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front, Conclave, Hotel Mumbai, Lion, Adrift, One Life, Patrick Melrose, The Old Guard, Ammonite). The full details of the soundtrack album for the erotic thriller Babygirl have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Emmy Award winner Cristobal Tapia de Veer (The White Lotus, Smile, Utopia, The Third Day, The Girl with All the Gifts, National Treasure). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 12 by A24 Music and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label has previously released two first tracks as a digital single last month. Available separately as a digital single is Sky Ferreira’s original song Leash from the movie. Babygirl is written and directed by Halina Reijn and stars Nicole Kidman, Harris Dickinson, Antonio Banderas and Sophie Wilde. Electronic music artist Tim Hecker (Infinity Pool, The North Water, Luzifer, The Free World) is providing the original score for the upcoming documentary Predators. The film is directed by David Osit (Mayor, Thank You for Playing) and explores the rise of fall of To Catch a Predator, the popular television show designed to hunt down child predators and lure them to a film set, where they would be interviewed and eventually arrested.
