geostormLorne Balfe is scoring the upcoming action adventure Geostorm. The film is directed by Dean Devlin (Independence Day, Stargate) and stars Gerard Butler, Jim Sturgess, Abbie Cornish, Daniel Wu, Ed Harris, Andy Garcia, Alexandra Maria Lara, Adepero Oduye, Amr Waked, Robert Sheehan and Eugenio Derbez. The movie takes place after an unprecedented series of natural disasters threatens the planet and the world’s leaders come together to create an intricate network of satellites to control the global climate and keep everyone safe. Dean Devlin also co-wrote the screenplay with Paul Guyot (The Librarians) and is producing the project with Skydance’s David Ellison & Dana Goldberg (Mission: Impossible – Rogue NationLife). Pictures. Visit the official movie website for updates.

Balfe also has Rupert Sanders’ Ghost in the Shell, Jonathan Teplitzky’s Churchill, Nat Geo’s Genius, as well as the second season of Marcella coming up.
