Nick Urata has taken over scoring duties on the indie drama What Maisie Knew. The film is directed by Scott McGehee and David Siegel (The Deep End, Bee Season) and stars Julianne Moore, Alexander Skarsgard, Steve Coogan, Onata Aprile, Joanna Vanderham, Diana Garcia and Joel Garland. The movie based on a novel by Henry James and follows a 6-year old girl who is caught up in the bitter divorce of her art dealer father and her rock star mother. Charles Weinstock (Fracture) & William Teitler (The Polar Express) and Daniel Crown & Daniela Taplin Lundberg (The Kids Are All Right) are producing the Red Crown Productions project. Urata is replacing Peter Nashel who was previously attached to score the film as reported earlier this year. What Maisie Knew is set to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival next month.

As previously reported, Urata also has scored the comedy Arthur Newman starring Colin Firth and Emily Blunt. The film is also set to premiere in Toronto.
