The movie tells the story of a thief who steals two pieces of valuable jewelry during the Cannes Film Festival .Terence Chang (Face/Off, Broken Arrow, Red Cliff, Windtalkers) is producing the project for Gravity Pictures.

Tuomas Kantelinen Scoring ‘Iron Sky: The Coming Race’
Tuomas Kantelinen is currently recording his score for the upcoming sci-fi action adventure comedy Iron Sky: The Coming Race. The film is directed by Timo Vuorensola and stars Lara Rossi, Vladimir Burlakov, Kit Dale, Udo Kier, Julia Dietze and Tom Green. The movie is the sequel to 2012’s hit feature Iron Sky in which a group of Nazis plan to take over the world after lying dormant in a secret military base on the moon. Vuorensola is also producing the project with Tero Kaukomaa (Everlasting Moments) and Samuli Torssonen.
Tuomas Kantelinen to Score ‘Lost in Austin’
Tuomas Kantelinen has been tapped to score the upcoming caper comedy Lost in Austin. The film is directed by Will Raee and stars Linda Cardellini, Jason Lee, Craig Robinson, Skeet Ulrich, Kristen Schaal and Ursula Parker. The movie follows a wife and mother who comes up with a plan to make her family instant celebrities by having her ex-boyfriend kidnap her 11-year-old daughter for a month. Raee has also written the screenplay with Brenna Graziano. Gary Ousdahl is producing the project for Up Late Productions, alongside Suzanne Weinert (ExTerminators) for Flatiron Pictures. Kantelinen’s previous film scoring credits include Renny Harlin’s Mindhunters and The Legend of Hercules, as well as Sergey Brodov’s Mongol: The Rise of Genghis Khan.
‘The Legend of Hercules’ Soundtrack Released
Lionsgate Records has released a soundtrack album for the action adventure The Legend of Hercules. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tuomas Kantelinen (Mongol: The Rise of Genghis-Khan) who previously collaborated with director Renny Harlin on the 2004 feature Mindhunters. The soundtrack is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips. The Legend of Hercules starring Kellan Lutz, Liam McIntyre, Gaia Weiss, Scott Adkins, Roxanne McKee and Liam Garrigan tells the love story between the son of Zeus and the mortal princess of Crete, who was promised to his own brother despite her love for Hercules. The movie was released earlier this month by Summit Entertainment/Lionsgate and is now playing in theaters.

Opening in roughly 2100 theaters is the 3D action adventure The Legend of Hercules directed by Renny Harlin and starring Kellan Lutz, Liam McIntyre, Gaia Weiss, Scott Adkins, Roxanne McKee and Liam Garrigan. The film’s original music is composed by Tuomas Kantelinen (Mongol: The Rise of Genghis Khan) who previously scored Harlin’s Mindhunters. No word yet on a soundtrack album. Opening in limited release is the family adventure The Adventurer: The Curse of the Midas Box directed by Jonathan Newman and starring Michael Sheen, Lena Headey, Sam Neill, Ioan Gruffudd and Aneurin Barnard. Fernando Velazquez (The Impossible, Mama, Devil) has composed the film’s original music. A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score is in the works. The Adventurer is based on the novel by G.P. Taylor and follows a 17-year-old boy in Victorian England who is searching for his lost parents and is kidnapped in a mysterious luxury hotel. The movie is being released by Image Entertainment and The Film Arcade.

Tuomas Kantelinen is reteaming with director Renny Harlin on the upcoming period action adventure Hercules: The Legend Begins. The film stars Kellan Lutz in the title role, alongside Liam McIntyre, Gaia Weiss, Scott Adkins, Roxanne McKee and Liam Garrigan. The movie tells the love story between the son of Zeus and the mortal princess of Crete, who was promised to his own brother despite her love for Hercules. Harlin has co-written the screenplay with Sean Hood (Conan the Barbarian, Halloween: Resurrection) and Steve Giulio. Les Welden and Danny Lerner (The Expendables 2, Olympus Has Fallen) are producing the Nu Image/Millennium Films production. Harlin has previously collaborated with Kantelinen on 2004’s Mindhunters.
A.R. Rahman and Tuomas Kantelinen to Score ‘The Seventh Son’
A.R. Rahman and Tuomas Kantelinen have been tapped to score the fantasy action adventure The Seventh Son. The film is directed by Sergei Bodrov and stars Jeff Bridges, Ben Barnes, Julianne Moore, Alicia Vikander, Kit Harington, Antje Traue, Olivia Williams and Djimon Hounsou. The film is based on the young adult series The Spook’s Apprentice by Joseph Delaney and follows a teen who’s the seventh son of a seventh son, and who learns about wizardry from a forbidding spook. Matt Greenberg (1408), Charles Leavitt (Blood Diamond) and Aaron Guzikowski (Contraband) have written the screenplay. Thomas Tull (Pacific Rim), Basil Iwanyk (The Town, Clash of the Titans) and Lionel Wigram (Sherlock Holmes) are producing the Legendary Pictures and Thunder Road Pictures production.
