Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the German Netflix limited series The Signal (Das Signal). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Michael Brook (Brooklyn, Into the Wild, The Fighter, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Little America). Also included is the song My Surreality by Little Swift feat. Luca Vasta. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, March 15. The streaming/download link will be added to this soon. The Signal is written by Florian David Fitz, Nadine Gottmann & Kim Zimmermann and stars Fitz himself, Peri Baumeister, Yuna Bennett, Hadi Khanjanpour, Sheeba Chadha, Katharina Schüttler and Nilam Farooq. The 4-part mystery drama follows a missing astronaut who sets her family on a frantic hunt for answers, but the more they uncover, the greater the threat becomes.

Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the animated sequel How to Train Your Dragon 2 directed by Dean DeBlois and featuring the voices of Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, T.J. Miller and Kristen Wiig. John Powell (The Bourne Trilogy, Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, Rio) has composed the film’s original music. Relativity Music Group has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, as well as the original song Where No One Goes by Jónsi. ‘The Signal’ Soundtrack Details
Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the sci-fi thriller The Signal. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nima Fakhrara (Exists, The Courier). Also included is the original song 2.3.5.41, which the composer wrote with hip hop producer Free the Robots. The soundtrack will be released on June 10, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Signal is directed by William Eubank and stars Brenton Thwaites, Olivia Cooke, Beau Knapp, Laurence Fishburne, Lin Shaye, Robert Longstreet and Jeffrey Grover. The movie follows three college students who become the targets of a rival computer hacker and are being lured to an abandoned shack in the middle of the desert. The thriller premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival will be released on June 13 by Focus Features.
Nima Fakhrara to Score ‘The Signal’
Nima Fakhrara has been hired to score the upcoming sci-fi thriller The Signal. The film is directed by William Eubank and stars Laurence Fishburne, Brenton Thwaites, Olivia Cooke, Sarah Clarke, Beau Knapp, Lin Shaye and Robert Longstreet.. The movie follows three college students who become the targets of a rival computer hacker and are being lured to an abandoned shack in the middle of the desert. Eubank has also co-written the screenplay with Carlyle Eubank and David Frigerio. Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Sinister) is producing the project for Automatik Entertainment and Tyler Davidson (Take Shelter, The Kings of Summer) is producing for Low Sparks Films.
