La-La Land Records has announced the details of the second volume collection of original music from the 60s sci-fi series The Time Tunnel created by Irwin Allen and starring James Darren, Robert Colbert, John Zaremba, Whit Bissell and Lee Meriwether. The album features music from the show composed by John Williams (as Johnny Williams) (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark), Leith Stevens (The War of the Worlds, When Worlds Collide), Joseph Mullendore (Lost in Space, Land of the Giants), Paul Sawtell (Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Jack the Giant Killer), Robert Drasnin (Mission: Impossible, Lost in Space) and George Duning (3:10 to Yuma, Star Trek: The Original Series). Featured episodes include Revenge of the Gods, Massacre, Reign of Terror, Secret Weapon, The Death Trap and The Death Merchant.

‘Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea’ TV Series Soundtrack Collection Announced
La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the classic sci-fi series Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea created by Irwin Allen based on his 1961 feature of the same title and starring Richard Basehart, David Hedison, Robert Dowdell, Henry Kulky and Terry Becker. The album features selections of the original music from the series composed by Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Chinatown), Alexander Courage (Star Trek: The Original Series, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace), Robert Drasnin (Mission: Impossible), Lennie Hayton (Side Street), Joseph Mullendore (Lost in Space, Land of the Giants), Nelson Riddle (Batman, Lolita), Paul Sawtell (It! The Terror from Beyond Space, The Lost World) , Herman Stein (Backlash) and Leith Stevens (The War of the Worlds).
Robert Drasnin (1927 – 2015)
Variety is reporting that Robert Drasnin passed away this past Wednesday at age 87. The composer is best known for scoring numerous TV show episodes between the 1950s and 1980s, including Mission: Impossible, The Twilight Zone, Hawaii Five-0, Lost in Space, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., I Spy, The Wild Wild West, Mannix, Cannon, The Streets of San Francisco, Police Story and CHiPs. His feature film credits include the 1970 thriller The Kremlin Letter directed by John Huston, the 1973 horror thriller The Candy Snatchers and 1966 western Ride in the Whirlwind starring Jack Nicholson. He also composed the music for numerous TV movies and served as a director of music for CBS Television from 1977 to 1991.
Complete ‘Cliffhanger’ Soundtrack album announced
Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1993 action thriller Cliffhanger. The film’s music is written by Trevor Jones. The album comes in a 2 disc set and includes over 90 minutes of Jones’ original score. The newly remixed edition of the soundtrack is limited to 2000 copies.
