Mutant has announced a new soundtrack album for the sci-fi adventure Project Hail Mary directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller and starring Ryan Gosling, Sandra Hüller, James Ortiz, Lionel Boyce, Milana Vayntrub and Ken Leung. The album is being released as a 3-CD set and features the film’s expanded original score composed by Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into/Across the Spider-Verse, The Bad Guys, Masters of the Universe, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Enola Holmes, Steve Jobs, The Drama, Materialists, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Birds of Prey), including material not available in any other format, on the first two discs, as well as the songs from the movie on the third disc. The soundtrack is now available for pre-order on Amazon and the label’s official website. Mutant has previously announced a 3-LP set of the “complete” soundtrack (visit Amazon to order), while Milan Records has released the original score album in various formats and a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie as a digital album.

Songs from ‘Project Hail Mary’ to Be Released
Milan Records will release a second soundtrack album for the film adaptation of Andy Weir’s bestselling novel Project Hail Mary. The album features nine songs from the movie, including Scorpions’ Wind of Change, Neil Diamond’s Stargazer, Ike & Tina Turner’s Glory, Glory, Miriam Makeba’s Pata Pata, Kris Kristofferson’s Sunday Morning Comin’ Down and Dennis Wilson’s Rainbows. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 27 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The label has previously released a separate album featuring Daniel Pemberton’s original score last week and will release physical versions in July (click here to pre-order). Daniel Pemberton Scoring Apple TV+’s ‘The Afterparty’
Daniel Pemberton (Steve Jobs, Birds of Prey, The Trial of the Chicago 7, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Ocean’s 8) has composed the original score for the upcoming Apple TV+ original series The Afterparty. The show is created by Chris Miller (The LEGO Movie, 21 Jump Street, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) and stars Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, Zoë Chao, Ben Schwartz, Ike Barinholtz, Ilana Glazer, Dave Franco, Jamie Demetriou and John Early. The 8-part-murder mystery comedy is set at a high school reunion afterparty, with each episode featuring a retelling of the same night told through a different character’s perspective.
Mark Mothersbaugh Scoring Mike Rianda’s ‘Connected’
Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, The Royal Tenenbaums, Hotel Transylvania) has been tapped to score the upcoming animated comedy Connected. The film is directed by Mike Rianda and features the voice talent of Abbi Jacobson, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Mike Rianda, Eric Andre and Olivia Colman. The animated comedy follows a a creative outsider who is accepted into the film school of her dreams. When she and her family drive to her school, their plans are interrupted by a tech uprising. Rianda also co-wrote the screenplay with co-director Jeff Rowe. Phil Lord & Christopher Miller are producing the Sony Pictures Animation production with Kurt Albrecht.
’22 Jump Street’ Soundtrack Details
The details of the soundtrack album for the action comedy sequel 22 Jump Street have been revealed. The album features the songs from the film by artists including Angel Haze feat. Ludacris, Wiz Khalifa, Duck Sauce, Tiësto, Blind Scuba Divers, Nacey, Shermanology, Travis Barker and more. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 10, 2014 and physically on June 24 by Casablanca Records. The CD version is now available for pre-order on Amazon. 22 Jump Street is directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller and stars Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, Ice Cube, Peter Stormare, Craig Roberts, Amber Stevens and Wyatt Russell. Mark Mothersbaugh to Return for ’22 Jump Street’
Mark Mothersbaugh has signed on to score the upcoming comedy sequel 22 Jump Street. The film is once again directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and stars Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill & Ice Cube who reprise their roles from the 2012 original film. They are joined by new cast members Craig Roberts, Amber Stevens and Wyatt Russell. The movie follows officers Schmidt and Jenko as they go deep undercover at a local college pretending to be college students. Michael Bacall (Project X, Scott Pilgrim vs the World) and Oren Uziel have written the screenplay. Tatum and Hill are also producing the project with Neal H. Moritz (The Fast and the Furious series, I Am Legend). Mothersbaugh previously scored the original film, which went on to gross more than $200 Mio. at the worldwide box office in 2012.
Mark Mothersbaugh to Score the Lego Movie
Mark Mothersbaugh announced at the SXSW Festival (via The Playlist) that he will be scoring Warner Bros. Pictures’ animated feature film Lego. The movie written and directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller will incorporate the latest animation and photo-real techniques. Chris McKay (Robot Chicken) is involved as a co-director and Dan Lin (Sherlock Holmes) and Roy Lee (How to Train Your Dragon, The Strangers) are producing. Jill Wilfert is executive producing for the Lego Company and Seanne Winslow is co-producing for Lynn Pictures. No plot details have been revealed yet, but the movie is said to feature both Lego-licensed and original characters. Mothersbaugh has scored the directors’ last two movies, including the animated hit Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and the action comedy 21 Jump Street, which is being released in theaters this weekend and was shown at SXSW.

Mark Mothersbaugh is currently scoring the action comedy 21 Jump Street. The film based on the 80s TV series starring Johnny Depp is directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller who previously collaborated with the composer on the 2009 animated hit film Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. 21 Jump Street stars Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, Ice Cube, Brie Larson and Ellie Kemper. The film revolves around two undercover police officers who go undercover in a high school in order to bust a drug ring. Jonah Hill co-wrote the project’s screenplay with Michael Bacall (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World). The movie is produced by Neal Moritz (The Fast and the Furious, I Am Legend and Stephen J. Cannell (The A-Team).
