Keefus Ciancia has composed the music for the horror thriller As Above, So Below. The film is co-written and directed by John Erick Dowdle (Quarantine) and stars Perdita Weeks, Ben Feldman, Edwin Hodge, Francois Civil, Marion Lambert, Ali Marhyar, Cosme Castro and Hamidreza Javdan. The movie follows a team of explorers that ventures into the catacombs that lie beneath the streets of Paris and uncovers a dark secret. Thomas Tull (Godzilla, Pacific Rim, 42) is producing the Legendary Picturs production with Jon Jashni (Shopgirl), Drew Dowdle (Quarantine) and Patrick Aiello (The Double).

Three new movies are opening wide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the film adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s sci-fi novel Ender’s Game directed by Gavin Hood and starring Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, Ben Kingsley, Viola Davis, Abigail Breslin and Harrison Ford. Steve Jablonsky (Transformers series, Battleship) has composed the film’s original score. Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music. Also opening wide is the animated feature Free Birds directed by Jimmy Haywardand featuring the voices of Woody Harrelson, Owen Wilson, Amy Poehler, Dan Fogler, Lesley Nicol, George Takei, Colm Meaney and Keith David. The film’s original music is composed by Dominic Lewis. Relativity Music Group has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as two songs by Social Distortion and MattyBRaps. ‘Diana’ Soundtrack Details
Canderblinks will release a soundtrack album for the biographical drama Diana. The album features the film’s original music composed by David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Out of Sight, Analyze That) and Keefus Ciancia (Nashville). The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 28, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on iTunes, where you can also check out audio clips. Diana is directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel and stars Naomi Watts as Princess Diana and centers on the last two years of her life and the secret love affair she had with Dr. Hasnat Khan, played by Naveen Andrews. The drama is now playing in theaters in the UK and will be released in select U.S. cities on November 1, 2013 by Entertainment One Films.
David Holmes & Keefus Ciancia Take Over Scoring Duties on ‘Diana’
David Holmes and Keefus Ciancia have taken over scoring duties on Oliver Hirschbiegel’s biographical drama Diana. The movie stars Naomi Watts in the title role of Princess Diana and follows her the last two years of her life and the secret love affair she had shortly before her tragic death. Naveen Andrews is co-starring as Dr. Hasnat Khan, alongside Douglas Hodge, Geraldine James, Charles Edwards and Juliet Stevenson are co-starring. Stephen Jeffreys (The Libertine) wrote the screenplay and Robert Bernstein & Douglas Rae (Becoming Jane, The Water Horse, Nowhere Boy) are producing the project. Holmes is best known for his numerous collaborations with Steven Soderbergh, including the Ocean’s trilogy, Out of Sight and last year’s Haywire. Ciancia who is also known as Keefus Green has collaborated with T Bone Burnett on a number of projects and has most recently co-scored the first season of ABC’s Nashville.
